Hello my beautiful/handsome February peeps... I AM OFFICIALLY BANNED.. I just wished I would have been told I was staying overnight in the hospital! I got to the hospital at 5:30 and was asked to give a urine sample..............I was so nervous I couldn't even go! It took 2 hours to finally go. but I made it just in time to make surgery. My chest is hurting pretty bad from the gas.. im going back to sleep meds kickin in.....

Congrats and good luck! Welcome to the newly banded group. Wish you a speedy recovery!

Congrats to u all recently banded peeps! I hope and pray you are are doing wonderful!!!

I get banded tomorrow morning.

I'm in California...surgery at 930am. I'm super nervous, ready, anxious, scared, and excited.

I only had to be on an all clear liquid diet for 48 hours but I am ready to chew my arm off!! LOL.

I know I will be okay cuz God's got my back. :)

Hope everyone is doing well. im finally home, a little sore but not that bad. glad surgery is overwith and that everything went well. now recovery time and on my weight loss journey.

can someone tell me how to put up the ticker?

Had my surgery yesterday afternoon and feel really good!!! Pretty tender, but I'm hangin in.

TOMORROW I GET TO START SOFT FOODS LIKE OATMEAL!!! YEEEEHAAAWWWW!!!!!

Hope everyone else banded yesterday is feeling well. I'm so excited to start the next phase of this journey.

Hi everyone...I am now on Day Two with the band!! I have to admit I am in a little bit...well ok, a lot, of pain between the gas and the incisions, but the Lortab is helping a bunch. I have blogged for the last two days on my LapBand blog, so if you want to read the details (I am too drugged up to rewrite everything) and see the photos of my incisions, please stop by for a read. The link is below.

Good luck for everyone who was just banded or who are being banded this week! I'll keep you all in my thoughts and prayers!

Welcome to the Bandster Club!!

Congrats on the new bands! Wish you all a speedy recovery. Jennerbrenner, i'm jealous! I was banded 2/19 and my doc still has me on full liquids...no soft until I see him on 3/3....but the good side of it, I'm already down 10lbs since friday! Best advice I can give you, keep the gas-x nearby and keep walking, I've been battling gas pains since I got home!

Was banded on 2-22 and have been busy since then. Have a dog sitter here and DH insisted on nurses for the first 2 days. They were NOT needed.

I feel great. Gas can be passed and sleeping well at night. Walking and only took pain meds at the surgicenter. None since I came home.

Let the journey begin.

Hello peeps. Congrats to everyone who has been banded this week and congrats to those that are coming up... I have to say the gas pains that i'm hearing so much about are not that bad! I have not been in serious pain, I bought 2 boxes of the gas x strips and only used 1 strip! Walking does help, tomorrow I guess i'll hit the mall with my grandmother, she volunteered to be my nurse for the day. I really need to stay off the scale I must admit, I was totally confused as to why I weight more then I did when I was going into surgery. I was 249 according to the hospital scale and according to my home scale I weight 255... hmmmmmmmm. Im liking the 249 better! Anyone else having the same issue, could it be the gas they put in me for surgery?? I haven't eaten ANYTHING since the day before surgery so I don't know why the scale is going up...... SOMEBODY....ANYBODY FILL ME IN!!!!!

Hi Friends!

I am also offically banded! Went in at 7am and home by 2pm.

I was very nervous this morning and so very glad when I woke up.

I am sore..sorta feels like I got punched in the gut. The pain med Lortab is wonderful and helping, as is walking a bit. I'm not having terrible gas pains at this point. Hope it stays that way.

I am so ready to be active and healthy again. I went in this morning weighing 248lbs. I can't wait to be who I feel inside and do all the things I used to and more.

I feel so blessed for this opportunity to better myself. I know not everyone has this option. I hope and pray that I make the right choices and don't end up having this for nothing. I don't think I will..guess I am just a little afraid of failure. Anyone else having those thoughts or am I just being crazy????

Kudos to all you strong people!!!

I hope to put up some pics soon and a ticker ....I'm not very good at this stuff but I will try.

Take care everyone! God Bless! :smile2:
