Workout twice a day?

Recommended Posts

Does anyone work out more than once a day? I work from home and walk/jog for about 45-50 minutes in the morning before Breakfast, and then sit at a desk the rest of the day.

Could it hurt me to do a DVD or the Wii Fit in the afternoon too? I want to ramp up my work out to lose 20 pounds by March 6 when I leave for Jamaica, and I need to purchase a swim suit before I leave... :blushing:

It wouldn't hurt you at all to work out twice each day. I sit at a desk all day too and I've been thinking about adding another workout to my days.

This is great if you have the time. It is also good to split weights and cardio if you have the opportunity.

Well, I'm thinking that even if i can't do it every day, I will do it on the days I can. I just did a Sweatin' to the Oldies DVD for 30 minutes, and now my body is definitely tired!

Cingulus, why would you recommend splitting cardio and weights?

Also, do you have to get your heart rate up for 30 minutes during the second work out of the day?

the more exercise the better, as long as you're not running yourself into the ground. Think of the evening workout as just something to get the blood moving again and burn a few calories - active leisure rather than working out. So if you put a lot of effort into your morning workout, then treat it as your main one and dont utterly exhaust yourself at night.

Whilst I dont workout twice a day, I do run or do something strenous nearly every day and I dont hesitate to do stuff like digging in the garden, walking, swimming etc on top of that, but I think of it as leisure and housework not exercise. Doesnt matter, it burns calories and is not sitting on your butt eating. Do take some rest days though.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
