NSV: No seatbelt extender for me on the plane! It was snug, but I could pull the loose tab 3 or 4 inches if I needed to; it's so nice not to have to ask for that extender! Vegas was WONDERFUL. I've honestly never had so much fun, and as "silly" as it was to get married on the bridge of the Starship Enterprise, it ended up being a very meaningful, religious ceremony, and a memory I'll treasure for life. Here are the wedding photos taken by the Star Trek people. http://images.mellette.net/wedding/bridge Jonathan

I had a wonderful NSV!! I work at a high school, a coach that was here last year but went to another local school this year came by the school. I was in the faculty workroom signing out when he and another coach walked in. When he saw me his eyes bugged out.. and he said.. "Girl... how many rocks of Crack you smoking a day?" The other coach who I work with daily and knows about my surgery quickly said.. "at least 3 a day". I laughed and laughed... I have lost about 55 pounds since August. I had surgery in November but started dieting seriously in August. I still laugh when I think about it.. Rhonda

It will pass! When you start to see real improvements, and I'm talking about the NSV (non-scale victories) you will no longer regret your choice. Sometimes these are small improvements to your life that make a big impact. Such as, not sitting too close to the steering wheel in the car, being able to wipe your butt easier, or shoes feeling looser. It's these things that really boost morale. I was 345lbs at my highest, 332lb when I started the pre op diet, and I didn't see a visible difference until I was nearly 80lbs down. What I'm saying is, that simply losing 50lb, 75lbs won't make you feel better.... it's the NSV that will keep you positive and moving in the right direction. Feel free to PM me day or night. I'm always around for a vent session or if you need a pick me up. And I'm sorry that this thread is over a week old, hopefully you still get my response!

I've been doing the 5 day pouch test(finished yesterday) and haven't lost any weight, not even 1/2 a pound, granted it's TOM as well, so I'm not beating myself over it (last night, my last day i gave in to a glass of Rose and a piece of homemade wholemeal bread, the crusty bit dipped in aromatic olive oil ) So that wasn't a success for me, my own fault Yesterday afternoon however, we all went to the park, husband and 3 girls, and we had a blast! For the first time ever, I put my jogging bottoms on a sweatshirt, my trainers (sneakers) and felt really good about myself(I actually felt quite "cool" as opposed to fat, forty and frumpy) and I went on loads of "rides" with the girls. I've never done this before cause I always felt to old, fat, ugly . Yesterday I felt so young and carefree. My husband pointed out that I always used to just sit on a bench while they palyed. This is probably one of the best NSV in these five months since surgery. I am so happy (even though I cheated on my pouch test last night )

Congratulations mismatched that's awesome!!!!! Wishing you many many more NSV!!!! -
I have also noticed a little tenderness when I do Zumba. I found that if i put on a spandex sleeveless body shirt it helps. I picked it up from kohls for less the 15 bucks. Helps keep that extra skin in also. But I will tell you make sure you get the cotton blend one. The one that is all spandex is way to hot. Good luck and congrats on NSV.

Nsv - No More Extender For My Seatbelt!
Rebecca Cain Salpacka posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
When i bought my car in 07, i was embarrassed that i couldnt fasten the driver seat belt ( i didnt think to try it when i was checking out the car) so i had to buy an extender so i could wear the seat belt...uggh! well about 2 months ago, i tried to use the seatbelt without it, and i could fasten it, i was very excited but..it was very tight and i struggled to get the buckle to snap. This morning as i got in the car to drive my son to school...he asked me to try again..so i did...and it was easy breezy..and comfortable! NO MORE EXTENDER FOR ME!!!!!!! -
Great NSVs! Has anyone been told that they don't look like their driver's license picture? I'm still waiting on that one.
