  1. Great broke wings ! For some reason my first fill was 3.5 cc.if it took u 3 fills to get to 3cc that would explain why I didn't feel like I needed a fill.good luck to u !
  2. Hi ! Just checking in with my April 2012 bandsters ! .how is everyone? Is bandster hell over for you?how many fills have u had?what was ur starting weight? How much have you lost.? For me pre op diet started 3/23/12 banded 4/6/12 I feel like I'm just starting bandster hell.I have not been hungry until the last couple of weeks. I've only had one fill . I refused the last 3 cuz my weightloss was steady but now I'm starting to get really hungry. My starting Weight pre op was 339 I lost 48 lbs total since starting pre op. 34 lbs since surgery . What's your story !?
  3. Don't worry about it right now, just get in what u can.you will definately know how to eat 1100 calories in a few weeks as u heal and progress through the food stages.
  4. Your wait time varies with different insurances.for ne it was less than 3 months from 1 St appointment to banded.some insurances make u do a 6 month diet before getting banded it all depends. There is a pregnancy page on thus site.most people become very fertile after they lose weight with the band.I've heard that during pregnancy they usually unfill you so ur baby can get the nutrition it needs.but there are done who gave stayed filled and still had successful surgery
  5. Oh my !! I have sooo many but the most recent one is goig to Disney land the other day my first meal was a kids meal that I couldn't finish the 2nd meal was also my 3rd meal and a snack.pre band I would have spent $70 or more eating meals and snacks all day but this time $25 dollars and no sugary snacks....if any one has vern to dusney tgen u know i got off cheap !! I love my band !!:-)
  6. Just stay on the plan, I lost 15 of the 25- 30 they wanted.my doctor said my liver was almost half it's original size when he went in.I was very afraid but my doc said ( after the fact) he was less concerned about number and more that I stuck to the diet to get the desired shrinkage he wanted.
  7. Here is a chart comparing band bypass and sleeve.I found it very helpful and it seems to be the most stratforwRd unnbiased thing I've seen on the surgeries pro and connof each Weight loss surgery site for info http://www.trueresul...-loss-surgeries

  10. WOW sorry ur coworkers are not supportive.it's really not their business but since they are in it.....my preop diet was full liquids with 3 oz of protein in the evening.that is diet that can not be done forever.you can't live like that. Also for me I've been successful dieting for up to 6 months but at some point u hit a plateau or a life situation and I give up.the band sets the bar for you.it's much harder to give up and over eat with the band.( although not impossible) This is a tool to help u do the right thing u need it want it u did ur research it's the right decision for you so they can support u or don't say anything...gooodluck !!
