If its in the best interest of your primary doctor what can cause you not to be approved for surgery if you are well willing and able to stick to the guidlines and want to make this change and have diabetes due to weight?

Hello everyone I just been redomended to see a local specialist to begin the band process I and in upstate ny I am wondering for all what is the wait time after getting in touch with them till actual sugery?? I was also wondering what is a fill? Do you actually have a opening or do they go in each time to fill and unfill?? Also does it effect getting pregnant afterwards? Sorry for all the ? Just want to be well informed!

I was seen by my doc today he recommended being banded and that it would help my wieght and also rid me of of my early stages of type 2 diabetes and I was like okay let's see what it can do! I will be calling the specialist tom how long does it take to go through w the surgery and I have pcos and has caused a lot of fertility issues due to been over weight will this help? And what does every one mean by a fill sorry just don't know the terms feel free to message me and help me any way u can thanks
