  2. Just wanted to add, SADI isn’t that new. Mine was done in 2017.
  3. I just hit 2 years, I’ve regained almost 20lbs. I attribute it to stress (new job, 6mo, bad boss etc and a few injuries that hindered my excercise — I literally fell in a “man”hole and injured my knee then broke my big toe) I swear to myself I will get back on track... but I’m fighting ever day injuries aside.

  12. This is interesting, I’ve been indulging in fruit a lot this summer but man it fills me up. Like one bite of watermelon too many and I feel like I’m just full of water.

  16. The leftover lunch. Leftover crockpot pulled pork mixed with leftover stir fried cabbage. Still can’t wrap my head around portion sizes I plate vs what I can eat. Was delicious and I’m stuffed.
  17. Following: I would love to know if this works. Cost? Etc. good luck if you go through with it!

  19. I had my revision one year ago today. I’m shocked and amazed at the changes that have occurred this year. My boobs have disappeared, I lost a lot of hair... but more importantly I’m no longer overweight. I still have a belly (and lose skin) but I’m learning to love myself just as I am. I’m so thankful to be on this road. Now I just need to get my butt back in the gym, good news is that it is within walking distance now. No regrets. ❤️
  20. I had a band to SIPS revision with Aetna. The time from submission to approval was super fast, I think like 2 or 3 days. I can’t exactly remember but I do recall it being so fast that I had to question if they really said approved.
  21. It was for me too, so having all that testing done in one day meant less time off from work.
  22. My surgeon is Dr. Myur Srikanth from center for weightloss surgery at Chi Franciscan. His practice is separate from the hospital but affiliated with it. All my testing and my surgery was done as an outpatient at Chi Franciscan. Love him. Great bedside manner. Had wonderful experiences with all my nurses pre and post op. My initial consult was March 2017, surgery initially scheduled for July but for personal reasons I had to push back to August 2017. Your consult to completion will be dependent upon your insurance requirements. Not necessarily the surgeon’s timeline. Chi Franciscan is also awesome when it comes to appointments for all the required testing. I was able to do it all in one day. (X-rays, blood, scans etc) Good luck to you.

  29. For me, the number 1 thing I wish I knew is that after surgery I'd be a total bag o' gas OMG, if it's not coming outta one end, it's the other. And the crazy loud and long burps are just... so... satisfying. oh and that gas pains can land you in the ER.... so let them burps roll ladies and gents, holding them in is bad.
