I wear spanx sometimes. I also bought one of those panies that go from just under your breast to your knees. Love what it does on the upper and it stays put, doesn't roll down. but the legs ROLL up... dirives me nuts. Lots of ladies swear by the WalMart Brand. I haven't tried them yet. I Love my spanks when I'm dressed up! Otherwise, I don't wear them.
  2. Well, I started our much larger than you. Not gonna lie, there's a lot of skin. Don't care. When I feel like I'm done losing I will do somehting about it. However, trust me you will wear a smaller size. I wore 5x or 38's. Yesterday at work we got to order some fleece jackets. I ordered an XL (they did run a little big) and I am wearing size 22 - 24. I agree, it all will depend on age, size, genetics. Like I say...don't care, I look great (in cloths anyway )
  3. yes, I've had a beer. Really fills you up but no problem other then that. I think the biggest concern is empty calories.
  4. What a joke!!!! Agree with above.... complain! And... read Missy's link. Very interesting!
  5. One day at time.... most of us have had these struggles. A bad day here or there, I've had my share. I get up the next day and I start again. Don't let it get hold of you cuz it can snowball. Don't give up..... get in and see your Dr for a fill and get moving again. Follow up with the Dr. is key. They see this a lot so don't stay away cuz you're scared to go in. Get in and get going! You can do it!
  6. I always would think "I got this eating thing down, small bites, chewing, eat slow" then I'd get a fill, and start all over!
  7. LOL.... I'm Jones-en for a 17g carb key lime greek Oikos. Got the S h~aA ~k~E~~s!
  8. Ok.... today is my first low carb day. Uff, I started looking at my food logs last night. Low carb is going to be different that's for sure. I've never been a carb counter. Don't pay any attention, just watch my calories and protien. Got the book on my Kindle last night... just glanced at it, thanks for all the great info and input. It helps me wrap my head around all this! That no carbs after supper is gonna get me!
  9. I've wondered about this. Thanks Missy!!
  10. I'm sorry for your struggles. You say you don't track your food but you know you eat too much. Try tracking it. It helps me soooo much. I started over 400 pounds, talk about food addiction huh??? Tracking is my A#1 tool. Seriously, when you plug in a small blizzard and it totals more calories than 3 meals.... you really don't want to eat one again. There is something about those calories staring back at you. I ate a blizzard one day, we had been to the lake and the family stopped. When I got home and logged it, you could have picked me up off the floor. I'm not saying I would never eat one again, but I would never just stop for one as a treat, it would have to be a special occassion. Logging really teaches you a lot, I find it so beneficial. It has really really helped me make better decisions. Try it, what have you got to lose? I am wishing you all the best, it is a real struggle at times. You can do this.
  11. I was never told I could not drink from a straw?
  12. I wouldn't. What if you accidently poked your tubing and caused a leak. Just not worth it in my opinion.
  13. Congratulations!!!! Keep up the good work!
  14. Amen to that Sister! See, that's the difference between you and them. Your mama raised you to have manners. I just don't get how someone can look at your success and then criticize your advice. Take it or leave it but don't PM you telling you that " now that you're skinny you think know everything." Apparently.... you know a little something about it. As the say.... "The proof is in the pudding"
  15. Centrum chewables Vitamin/mineral are not gummies. They are like an orange flavored chewable but not in gummy form. I have not been able to find a Gummy that has iron????
  16. Wow... Really? That deserves a "WTF" ? You're a great inspiration to many of us!
  17. That's my dream! Yeah - good job!
  18. Soups and salads are fine once in a while but soup is a slider food. You need solid protien. Something that fills you up and stays with you.
  19. nothing to it, just a little pinch, if that.
  20. LOL... I found myself checking the protien grams in Peanut Butter Cups!!!! Like that would make it ok! jeeze. Anyway, I brought all the left overs to work today, they will be gone in no time. Thank Heavens!!!
  21. What did your Dr. recommend. I had to be liquids for a week, mushies for a week, then gradually into normal food. You need to follow the recommendations at this point, it's very important. You are not supposed to eat solid foods, you do not want to shift your newly placed band. Your stomach is swollen and solids most likely will not go down. If you end up stuck and throw up it could be a real problem. Ya, you probably feel week. You just had major surgery 2 days ago. Drink Drink Drink. Good Luck!
  22. Yes... I am a calorie counter. I eat about 1200 a day.
  23. I agree, see your nutritionist. There is no reason your not losing if you are exercising and eating right.
