Why Greek Yogurt?
More than twice the protien. I don't pay attention to sugars since I don't eat much sugar anymore.

Am So Down
You would think the weight would just fall off but sometimes it just doesn't. I have no idea why but eventually it will give. I agree with the journal. My Fitness Pal makes it really easy to track food, exercise, protien etc. Hang in there Girl....

Wow U Eat That!?
Fear is a good thing sometimes. I was scared to death to eat junk. Never would have dreamed of eating fast food the first year after surgery. But fear wore off. I'd like to go back to that way of thinking. Make good choices... you just have to make good choices! Good Luck to you!

No Weight Loss
Misty... it will come. I didn't step on the scale until I went back for my post op check up and after that I only weighed on follow ups. (didn't own a scale) It will drive you nuts, stay off it. You are eating under1000 calories. The weight will go, it has too. Log your food, weighing it is great if you think you are overeating. Get some exercise even if it is a short walk. You would thing the weight would just fall off eating that little but it doesn't. But if you just keep doing what you are supposed to do, it will! Good Luck!

Sometimes I just need a potato.

Bummed.... Gaining Weight Back. From 340 To 285. Now 310 :(
You just have to keep on fighting. Giving up won't work. You can do this. I don't know what to say about self control and gaining your weight back. You are the only one that can control that. I went 6 weeks once without losing an ounce... I didn't give up. I can't, I won't allow myself to go back to my old eating habits. You can make this work but you really have to want too. I'm sure you want it to work, but you have to want to make it work. I know, deep in my heart I will NEVER.... NEVER go back to my old eating habits. I may have a bad day here or there, but it is a day... I'm going to take that back. I have bad moments. Like yesterday with some Halloween candy.... I didn't let the whole day go to heck because of it. I ate healthy aside from those Reese Cups and I exercised. Just cuz I indulged a little I didn't let the whole day be a loss. I don't believe in complete deprivation. I don't beat myself up and I keep doing what I'm supposed to be doing. Honestly, I know I will never go back to eating like I used to. I will always eat the way I am now. It just seems normal to me. I wish you luck... It's hard at times but it is doable!

Post Op Question
Don't know when the last time is I've felt this good. I'm 49 years old and along with my weight loss I have also lost EVERY ache and pain. I, seriously... have none. And I have tons of energy. I just feel Amazing. The first couple of months after surgery i was exhausted. It really took me a while to get any sort of energy back. I think when I started exercising is when I started regaining some energy. Hang in there... it is soooooo worth it!

I Need To Start Over,i Can Use Your Help And Tips, Please!
Log your food. Know exactly how many calories and how much protien you are getting every day. Logging helps me so much, I have to answer to myself when I see I ate a snack that consisted of more calories than an entire meal.. it makes me think twice the next time before I eat it again. Aslo, just eat healthier. Ha Ha, I know it's not that simple but... it's not that hard. Fill up on your protien and fresh veggies. If you hungry eat a protien, greek yogurt or cheese or a piece of fruit. Leave chips and sweets alone (I don't know that you eat them, just saying) and I eat out often. I ALWAYS look at the website of the restaraunt before I go. Most places have lots of healthy choices. Know what you are going to eat before you go. And get some exercise! Get back to the LB basic rules. You can do it!!!!! Best of Luck!

My Doc Only Gives 1 Cc (Max) Fills Per Month. Same For Everybody?
My last fill was .2. That tiny tiny amount made all the difference in the world.
-
Protein?
yes... there is no way you will get your protien in at first, but you need to work up to your dr's recommendations. My dr. recommends 60g. Shakes are a good way to get in your protien, but personally... I just could not gag them down. I have no problem getting my 60+ grams.

Wow U Eat That!?
I will agree... you can probably find something at all of them that is not unhealthy. The hard part is staying away from those fries!
-
Scared To Get Another Fill
I wouldn't think the dr. would give you a fill if you feel you are at a good restriction level. If you chew your solids good and they go down fine, and when you don't chew good you get that pressure I would say you are at a pretty good spot and certainly don't need a fill. But... follow up is key. I saw my dr. many many many times knowing I would not be getting a fill.

Hot Chocolate With Protein...
Ya, I never cared for yogurt. But the Oikos keylime and raspberry... honestly yummy!
-
Hot Chocolate With Protein...
another good choice is Greek Yogurt. I HATE the fruit on the bottom ones, and before surgery had never eaten yogurt... not even once. Try Oikos Key Lime, it is scrumptious, so is the raspberry the fruit is blended in with the yogurt. Lots of protien - make sure it's Greek. Just a suggestion...! Keep up the good work!

Wow U Eat That!?
I AGREE!!!! Wendy's chili is my go to if I need a quick drive through meal. Don't even remotely miss my Big Mac!!!!! Actually, I can't imagine eating one, funny how I've changed. It's kinda hard to believe. (I ate my share of big macs)

Flying My Extra Wide Load
I always hated that, but I'm the type not to be ashamed of who I am so I always asked if there was an empty seat anywhere and If i could trade seats with the person next to that empty seat. Ask the flight attendent. Dont let it bother you. It's more comfortable for you and the other passengers. Or if there is an empty seat ask the person next to you if they would like to move to the empty seat to be more comfortable. That way you don't have to be the one moving for everyone to see. That's what I always did... I no longer have to! Good Luck on you Surgery

Quick Question After Vomiting
I doubt you had a slip. Almost all of us have done that, many times. If you PB'd (productive burped) meaning threw up / burpped up from your pouch, I'm sure your fine. If you vomited from your stomach below your band, that is the thing you don't want to do. I have never had a slip but some of the signs are not being able to keep food or liquids down, acid relux. After you have PB'd you can be a little swollen or it might feel hard to get food down for a few hours. that can be normal. My guess is your just fine.

Platue
I started out at 432 pounds. I lost pretty steady till I got to 301.4. I was at that weight for weeks. It drove me nuts cuz I really wanted to see that 200. Went to see my Dr. We decided I didn't need a fill, my eating was good. Went to see the nutritionist and she thought my eating and exercise was great. She suggested strength training. I started going to a Body Pump class at the gym and with in a week I broke that DAMN 300 mark. Try changing up your exercise with strength training and I would highly recommend "Body Pump" if you can find a class. It is very doable for anyone.

Almost 2 Years After My Surgery, I Have A Very Sad History To Tell
How tight is your band. If you are really tight I would STRONGLY suggest getting an unfill. Many people don't lose weight with a really tight band. I don't know why.... I am guessing because they are consuming too many liquid calories. But... you need to be able to eat solids and keep them down to be healthy. I would start with having your Dr. take some fluid out of your band so you can eat solid foods. Aand maybe do some research on how the band works as far as being able to eat solids. I don't know your situation... but these are my thoughts. You must be misserable, I hope you can turn it around. Best of Luck!

Is It Easy To Discern When The Food Passes Through Your Pouch ??
No, I don't feel it go through my band unless I have taken to big of a bite and it sits there trying to decide it it should go through or not. Then I can feel the release of the pressure, but generally, no I can not feel the food pass thru the band.
