Omg!! Just Got Stuck

Worst feeling in the world! I tried cramming my big mouth with some chicken, swallowed like I've done a million times since being banded. And guess what!? This fill actually tightened me up. I don't know whether to be happy or what. Yeah I think I'll go with happy! Even though I just threw my insides up getting it unstuck. I have learned another lesson and HAVE to break that terrible habit now! Whew!

  • I always would think "I got this eating thing down, small bites, chewing, eat slow" then I'd get a fill, and start all over!

glad ur unstuck now but no fun being there, been there plenty of times by stuffing my mouth too full by old habits.

Not fun is it?

Yes! So glad it didn't last longer than it did. I haven't had real restriction like this with any of the fills in the last 5 months. It's definitely a different feeling. It's only been 2 days since my dr visit and fill but what difference your band actually being where it needs to be can make. I hope this lasts!

Nooooo! Not at all.

I also had my first stuck episode yesterday evening with pulled pork. It hurt so bad, lucikly I didnt throw up, eventually it went through the band but wow did that ever hurt. I got my first fill this past Monday and was 3.5 weeks post op. I want to say I learned from that but the chewing really well is something new for me so I have to get used to it. Glad yoy are okay! No fun!

Now.. DON'T DO THAT AGAIN! Not fun at all, and yes, we have to start over with every fill! Good luck!
