I did the Shimmy Shimmy Shake!!!
they have cute stuff! And reasonable and trendy (unlike Torrid!) . . . go online and look at thier stuff. It's forever21.com . . . and then click on faith (that's their plus size line). Just know no refunds, just exchanges

I did the Shimmy Shimmy Shake!!!
Congrats! And Ross has become my favorite store now too! I can always find something on the clearance rack. My advice would be also to definitely check out the dresses. The are usually super cheap and even if you lose 10-15 lbs you can still wear it . . . I've gave away so many clothes it's almost bittersweet. It's (finally) fun to shop again. But you don't wear the clothes for too long. Congrats again!

7 Month Surgiversary!! :)
Thanks again for the wonderful comments. You guys are all too sweet. It means a lot. I sometimes want to share how far I've come. But a lot of the women in my family are overweight and sometimes I feel like I don't want to share how much I've lost because I don't want it to be interpreted as "bragging" . . . does anyone else experience that?? I just feel like here I can be honest and speak the truth and everyone always understands. I'm never leaving again. lol Yes we made it to 7 months! Seems like just yesterday I was waiting for my phone call to get a date!

WELCOME Gym Rats!!!
Thanks again. Keep it up girl! I dont know why I just can NOT find the time or "energy" I guess to walk while I'm at work. It's nice out here in southern Cali too. I shouldn't make any excuses. I guess I just prefer to go to the gym. :/

Reward for 50 lbs lost?
jewelrycan be worn forever . . . throughout your weight-loss (rings can be sized!) . . . when I reach "onderland" I want some diamond stud earrings that gift card idea is a GOOD idea. Saving them until you reach goal. No use in buying too many items of clothing now only to give away in a month or two.

7 Month Surgiversary!! :)
Good Morning all! I woke up this morning oh so very excited to get on the scale to see what my "official" 7 month weigh-in would be. I won't make this long. But just wanted to share a lil bit of my journey. Firstly this has been a lot more difficult then I anticipated. I am not one of the fortunate ones who lose weight without exercising. (trust me I've tried it lol) I literally took about a month or so off and actually gained one month and lost 2 lbs the next. Not GOOD! But I don't know what happened the month of May. I've just kicked up my exercise game up into high gear and the lbs are FINALLY starting to come off. My 5 month check up I was a little depressed. I thought I weighed one thing and was 10 pounds MORE at the dr's office. I have since gotten rid of the scale I WAS using and now have a more accurate digital scale. Talk about disappointment. After that I took a "break" from this website and exercising and just kinda gave up. But I'm back and realize that even post surgery you have your moments where you want to give up, but it's never too late to get back on track. Oh quick tips for soon to be sleevers: DRINK your water! NO exceptions! (when I don't drink the 64 oz I don't lose!) And watch your "snacks" . . . they add up rather quickly! Okay for the stats: I had my surgery through Kaiser. So at the beginning of the nutritional classes/Options I weighed 306. Day of surgery: 285 5 month check up: 238 (not 228 like I was at HOME lol) 7 month weight: 219.5!! . . . so I've lost a total of 65.5 lbs since the day of surgery and 86.5 lbs since I started this long journey over a year ago. This first pic is the oldest pic I can find that kind of shows my body (very few full body "before" pics . . . I generally only took pics from the waist or neck up pre op!) And this is today! . . . 7 months post op. Not too clear. Taken from my camera phone in my not so bright bathroom. Close up before pic And this is a close up pic from a wk or two ago
