  1. I always fly US Airways. First of all, they are never usually fully booked during the week or at night so you can have a whole row to yourself. That happened to me last time I flew back and forth from Florida. Also, since they are a higher priced airline, it's never fully booked. I've never had a problem with them and I don't fly commercial that often (my dad is a pilot)
  2. What are these individual fish things from Trader Joe's? I'm about 20 minutes away from one, but this might be worth the trip. Tell me more!!!!
  3. Usually you are on liquids for 10 days to 2 weeks post op. I would suggest buying some atkins protein drinks and telling them you're doing atkins. Then if you want some chicken broth, they won't say anything. Good luck with your surgery, I love this board too!!!!
  4. Girl, there are so many fish in the pond, you will find someone, and if you do and don't like them, move on!!! I wish I could follow my own advice. I was in the 5 year relationship and the last 2 years was full of cheating, emotional and even physical abuse. I think it hurt my self-confidence, but I'm waiting to get the confidence to do one of those speed-dating things, so good for you!!!!!!!
  5. I tried the recipe that I said I was going to earlier, and it is DELICIOUS! I took two pouches of albacore tuna, one can of canellini beans which I smushed half of it, some low-fat mayo and seasonings. Then I made 2 oz patties and froze them. Now I just take one out, let it defrost for 1/2 hour and put it in the microwave for 2 minutes....YUMMO!
  6. No, I haven't had a fill yet, I'm scheduled for 3/21. I do feel satisfied with that because it's 6 small meals, which works out really good for me. I also drink a lot of water. It's weird because my stomach growls, but I'm not "hungry". I also make sure to eat my protein first, complex carbs second, and everything else last. Maria, what you're eating is looking alright, if you feel full on that, then that's awesome because it looks like a good well-balanced food plan!!! You know what else is weird with my body now, the top of my head feels hot on and off throughout the day like I have a heat lamp on my head, it's weird. I take my temperature and it's normal. I don't know maybe it's the cold weather.

What a day, and it isn't even noon yet. I have to work on a take-home midterm exam that is just going along SOOOO slow. Then for the same class I have to revise a paper that the professor tore apart :help: but I only got a C- on the paper which isn't THAT bad considering a first draft. Oh and on top of that, I woke up early to take the train, and it was delayed 30 min, so I had to drive to school. I don't usually mind, but I'm trying to save miles on my car since I'll be driving an additional 80 miles a week for training for my volunteer program (can you tell I'm excited about it????:clap2: :clap2: ) Tonight when I get home I'll walk 2 miles briskly. This is what I packed for my meals today: Breakfast--1 Scrambled Egg Lunch--2 oz Ground Turkey w/ mustard Dinner--1/4C high protein cereal. I also packed 1/4 C applesauce and 1/4C of pudding but I'm not hungry yet for snacks, I think I'll wait for lunch. Have a good day everyone, wish me luck on this midterm it's killing me!!!!!!!!!!:faint:

  9. I don't think I've ever had heartburn before, so I don't know if I get it or not. I do burp a lot more now! At first it was embarassing, but now I'm used to it!
  10. Thanks guys, I'll let you know how it goes. I've had such a bad week this past week and this really brought my spirits up big time! It's so funny, I told everyone on here before I told my parents (well it's 11:49 pm and they're asleep) so you guys are officially the first to know!
  11. So, I signed up for a volunteer program at my local aquarium and I got an email saying they want to set up an interview and the training starts on Thursday. I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO excited! I have been hanging out at this aquarium since I was like 5. I have tears in my eyes I'm so excited, this is like a dream come true!!!!! Sometimes too they will offer employment for volunteers as well which I'm hoping is what will happen to me. My ultimate goal is to go back to college and get my B.S. in Marine Sciences. This is hopefully the first step. OMG I'm so excited I can't SLEEP! ARGHHHHHHYAYYYYYYY:scared:
  12. Since my surgery I've lost 37 pounds. I don't know how I did, honestly. While I was on liquids I lost 20 pounds, then an addition 17 lbs one month post-op. I'm not going to weigh myself until my first fill on 3/21. I don't know what the secret is. I only eat 1/4 c or 2 oz a meal, I ate 3 "meals" and two "snacks" so that I'm satisfied. For my meals I hold liquids 1 hour before and 1.5 hours afterwards. Snacks though I keep kind of liquidy (like applesauce) so that I don't have to do the hold fluid rule. I also make sure to eat my protein first. For example, right now I ate 1 oz of ground turkey and 1/8 cup of collard greens. I made sure to eat the turkey first so that if I did get full, it would be on protein. I ate the whole 2 oz and I'm stuffed! So now I won't drink anything until midnight. I also make sure to exercise 5 x a week. I do a brisk 2 mile walk w/ weights that I found on Comcast OnDemand. For some inspiration, here's what I ate today, also if you want you can read my journal because that will have some meal ideas too: Breakfast--One scrambled egg Lunch--2 slices of turkey breast with 1 T of low fat veggie cream cheese (made it into a roll-up) Snack--Atkin's protein shake Dinner--1 oz ground turkey and 1/8 cup of collard greens I hope I could help with some tips Keep up the good work :clap2:
  13. I work out at home and I'll sleep with my gym clothes on so when I wake up, I throw on a sports bra put my hair up in a ponytail and exercise! Then when I'm done I go back to bed. LOL.
  14. One of my co-workers had breast implants done, and I'll tell you it was the best breast augmentation job I've ever seen, so she gave me her plastic surgeon's business card, and I called him and told him what was going on and he told me that between 18 months-24 months post-op for plastic surgery. I'm thinking of getting a breast lift at 18 months post op and a body lift at 24 months. I have a cousin that needs to get her breast implants re-done and she's going to Costa Rica for it. She said it's cheaper down there. We'll see how that goes.
  15. I'm going to try that out (cooked patties) tonight for dinner tomorrow night and Monday night and tuesday night....LOL. What do you reccomend for good albacore? Is canned okay? Or the pouch?
  16. Try some really well-cooked spinach. That seems to help too. I used to use sauerkraut, but that's tough to digest so I wouldn't suggest that now. After work tonight I'm going to the grocery store and getting some canned spinach because I need the help. LOL.
  17. I got a 75% lol

So last night I went bowling with my cousin and her husband. I did horrible! But my butt is killing me, so I guess I got an unintentional workout along with all the walking from yesterday! Today I did a brisk 2 mile walk. I don't know what I'm going to eat today. I think I have a general idea. I have to eat breakfast and lunch back to back since I can't eat at work, usually I have a snack in between to keep me full. Breakfast (10:30)--1 scrambled egg 1/2 slice white american cheese Lunch (1:15)--turkey roll-ups with 1 T cream cheese Sustinance (3-9:00) (for work)--Protein drink and water Dinner--(10:00) 1 oz ground turkey and 1 oz of spinach (to help with constipation) I'll see how that goes my dad said it worked when he was on Atkins.

  20. Hey everyone! Last night, instead of going out on that "date" I went bowling with my cousin and husband again for 3 hours, and my butt is killing me! Today I did a brisk 2 mile walk. I have to work today, so 6 hours on my feet is going to be bad. Plus we are no longer allowed breaks and no drinks at our work station so my dad told me to bring a Protein drink in and sneak some sips in the bathroom (the only place where we can have peace and quiet for 30 seconds). We'll see how that goes. If I pass out, I pass out ha ha. So tomorrow morning I'll do another 2 mile brisk walk and work for 7 hours same conditions. LOL. Being at work will help me lose weight!
  21. I live in Connecticut. Here if it's a first time offense you just have to go to court and show a receipt for a hands-free headset and they throw out the charges. The next time it happens though you have to pay $200! So I will definetly be using the hands-free set now! So I think I walked a lot more than 5 miles, because we went shopping across town, good thing I had my UGG boots in my car. I looked like a fool, but I didn't care. I didn't buy anything, but I found a pair of boots I might pick up next week. So I did get my exercise in. Oh and today I ate some seafood pot pie, minus the pie part and a turkey burger with cheese. I have a "date" tonight so I'm saving my calories for wine since I didn't have any last night!

so I have to go to court today and it's raining out and my "trial" will probably be delayed. It was talking on my cell phone while driving and in Connecticut if it's a first offense you have to go to court and show a receipt for a hand's free headset. What a waste of a day! And it's raining out too! So I'm going to be getting my exercise in by walking about 5 miles roundtrip from the courthouse to my car. So far what I ate today: Breakfast--1/4 Cup seafood pot pie minus the pie part (just crabmeat and lobster) Lunch--2 Slices of turkey with 1 T low fat veggie cream cheese rolled up (my favourite next to egg salad) Dinner--Not sure yet. It's going to be a GREAT day!

  24. Today I'll be doing some walking outside. I have to go to court for talking on my cell phone while driving :faint: so I have to park about 10 blocks away to get to the courthouse. That's about 5 miles roundtrip probably in high heeled boots, that'll be fun! Oh a NSV, my cousin and her husband came over last night and we were goofing around taking pictures, I can definetely tell I lost weight in my face it's weird!
  25. I love tuna. And mustard. I bet that would be good with mustard too. Broccoli slaw is in the same place that the bagged spinach (EEK) and bagged salad is in.
