  1. Hi Alijacmom I start mushies in 4 days, so exciting. My doctor also refers to it as the puree stage. For dinner I intend to just puree up whatever I cook for my partner. Scrambled eggs and mashed potato are 2 things I know I'll be eating. I also puree'ed up some lasagne, that's in the freezer waiting for me.
  2. Aw thanks R gran for remembering. I havent been very active on this forum... Well, my surgery all went smoothly. Tomorrow, Im 1 week post surgery. Day 2 I was walking around, and managed a couple of hours shopping. Day 3 I flew home. Im feeling pretty good today (Day 6 post op). I just feel a bit of discomfort when Im moving around (getting up, or walking).
  3. Surgery cant come fast enough for me! I just want to get started on this journey!! It's 1 month, 1 week and 1 day till my surgery
  4. Sometimes when Im eating I eat slow for a little bit, but I cant imagine doing it all the time. It's certainly going to be an adjustment. I'll probably just avoid eating out for a while. As for cooking after the band, I havent thought much about it. I'll just take it as it comes, and see how I go with food. I live with my boyfriend so I'll probably cook similar, modified meals to what I cook now. Our meals are pretty healthy, just the portions are too big and we eat too much fast food and junk...
  5. Im getting banded 19th October
