I too would love to have a soda every once in awhile. Unfortunatly my dr told me it can cause bloating and I put myself at risk for my band to slip. It's not worth it to me. I think if you get use to drinking water and teas you will eventually not even miss the soda and in the long run you'll feel better.

Thx for the comment. I know that that is the way I have to look at it. I knew going into this that it was not a quick fix.I am eating allot better which for me is a big thing and starting to feel better as well. I also think I need to stay off of the scale. That little device seems to be a downfall for so many. Thankyou.

Its been 5 weeks since my surgery and I have only lost 10 lbs. starting to get discouraged. I don't eat any junk and watch my portions and don't drink with my meals. How on earth is it that people lose 20 -30 lbs in the 1st mo. Believe me I have plenty to lose.
  5. I got banded 8/10/10. I went through the same things you did. I was nauseated for about 1 week. I'm not the type to take in just liquids which made me sick to my stomach. Hang in there it gets better. I'm getting ready to start eating soft foods in which i'm looking forward to. I think that the first few weeks are the hardest but look at what the results will be in the future and it will all be worth it in the end.
