    Sex after sleeve

Haha, this is one of the first questions I asked my doc (that, and "when can I have a margarita") I wasn't feeling up to it for about 2 weeks, mostly because I was so nauseous all the time. If you're feeling good and off your meds though, there's no reason why not! I understand your girl being worried-- maybe have her be on top so she doesn't feel like you're putting in too much work and she has better control if she thinks you need to slow down or something. And for the record-- once the weight starts coming off, the sex is going to get AWESOME! good luck
  6. The Bolthouse Farms ones taste --AMAZING--, but they've got a good bit of sugar (albeit organic cane sugar, but still) I figure it's worth it in the long run though, since I'll actually DRINK these. They have 'em at Target. Try one!
  7. I'm going insane. Four months out and I've lost 65 lbs, which seems reasonable I think? Only problem is my weight hasn't changed since before Christmas! How do I jumpstart this thing? I can't possibly be done losing, can I? I'm fighting back those old familiar feelings of failure. Not fun! Anyone go through this?
  8. Hello!

Congrats on the weight loss! I read a little of your blog, very entertaining :) I was wondering about your pre-op diet, was that prescribed by the dr? I am having surgery in about 1 1/2 mo, and all I know is that I need to be on low carbs...I noticed that you had some supplements mixed in there too. Which ones were your favorites?

    OMG this is real!

haha, oh man the "greatest hits" phase was so freaking awesome for me. I can't even tell you how much sushi I ate. so much. good lord. I still miss it though! I don't know if sticky rice & I will ever get along again, but MANNN. Anyway good luck to you! You're at a point where it's both exciting and totally stressing at the same time. Just be nice to your body, is all I can say. We're really good at being mean to ourselves when all we need is a little support

    Wine

Ditto to the "one month" suggestions. I was told it could be as soon as 3 weeks but to be very careful. I had about 3 sips of a friend's margarita at the 3wk mark and got SUPER TIPSY, it was pretty funny. Now that I'm a little over 5wks I can handle a small cocktail just fine. I stay away from harsher liquors like tequila and stick with softer stuff like schnapps and Malibu. Malibu cranberry goes down great and tastes even better. All things in moderation though, of course!

    Eating my head off!

Yeah, I wouldn't worry too much, as long as you don't go TOO crazy. I definitely took my opportunity to indulge in all my favorite foods before my surgery. You won't be able to eat a lot of that stuff afterward, and even if you can, only very little. Personally I'm glad I ate a ton of sushi beforehand, cause now I can't go near sticky rice
  12. Hi Ericka, Hope your feeling good. I see you've already lost 35lbs!!!! You go girl. I want to see pics soon. Keep me posted. XOXO

    Grazing

You don't offend me, but perhaps you misunderstand me. Or maybe "grazing" isn't the proper word. I'm not talking about eating a lot, but rather eating often, as others have described in this thread. Even if I ate all day long, at 3wks out it'd still be impossible to eat even what normal people do. Getting enough in my body IS a concern at this stage of "the game." If you're asking for my reasoning behind getting the surgery, it was largely preventative. I'm only 23 and decided to reign my health and weight in now while they were still manageable-- none of which has to do with an apparently perceived obsession with food. The point of my post was simply to get a gauge of what others are eating, and how often they do so, not to excuse myself into a binge (that, these days, would consist of 2 bites). In other news, I finished an egg this morning- achievement!
