I'll join the club getting my band tomorrow Saturday the 14th!

I'm a bit different than most I told my husband of course, my sister (but not my mom or the rest of my family) my 2 best friends one tries to talk me our of it and the other one doesn't care cuz she's too busy with her own life right now lol. Then I hit a snag with the funding... And had to pretty much tell my mother in law ... Hey I'm fat can you co sign for my weight loss surgery? I was devastated the conversation was an akward train wreck. I just am so upset about it I wouldn't even tell my own mom but I had to talk with her about it I don't plan on telling anyone else I mean unless they could benefit from knowing like if I think they would consider doing it themselves or something.

I've been a bit rushed through the whole process like go in to the surgery center and got some tests done then they call me up on Tuesday and want to do my surgery on Saturday... Soo I get all stressed trying to get the funds together then having to ask my mother in law to co sign on a loan was the most akward nightmare ever.. Now trying to clean house get ready buy everything I need and chill a bit has not been easy! My best friend trying to talk me out of it but my husband is super supportive while my real family mom etc know nothing of my plans so it's like trying to hide some elephant under the rug even.. Oh well it will be done! I'm excited and scared..

Getting my band on Saturday I'm self pay too I hate insurance companies sometimes :/

Have surgery scheduled for saturday if everything works out with the finances so im excited but man 3 protein shakes a day is hard :thumbup: i didnt think it would be that way but im hanging in there i kinda ate a couple of vanilla wafers but thats it i dont think 2 will hurt much since my shakes are only like 160 calories a piece with 1 gram of sugar and 30 grams of protein im just glad that they dont taste so bad i love buying things from costco!

The place I go to does the whole thing including fills and everything for 15,300 and they are always there to answer the phone they work with you the gastric banding medical group has been very good so far went to one of their support groups and looking around i decided to go with them. Having my procedure done on saturday The price might look like a big tag but really how much do you plan on paying for the fills and all the extras? I think its a good deal all in all..

Haha i must be pretty odd then i usually have my friends my age or younger than me altho i had one guy that was my friend that is like 35 or so now so i usually dont have off the wall ages for my friends but that might be because thats just who i run into :tongue_smilie:tp be honest i dont care what age my friends are i just figured posting here would be the appropriate place :blushing:

Going with a 401k loan we are paying off an old one so we can take out a new one however they say you have to wait 30 days before you can take another one it's kinda lame

Ah might have a slight snag getting our loan the paperwork may not be able to be processed till 30 days from now I hope I can find a way around it !

Oh yea I'm ending up paying like 15,300 for pretty much everything and fills for the first year. They are like 15 min away from my house too which is nice no travel expenses lol

I've been overweight since I could remember... Haha so I haven't even thought about a goal weight! I just have my eye on the prize being no more shopping In the big girl stores and no more misses section I want to wear cutesy juniors clothes..! I hope you get your date soon I already got mail from a few people on the board they seem super nice :wub:

Hi I'm Lindsey from the San Diego area I'm 28 years old I have been lurking the forums here and decided I should post.. I would love to make some friends around my age that I could go through this with I'm a bit scared so I just thought having some support and maybe being some support would help me along.. I have an iPhone so I get free texts and everything and probably every messager under the sun.. I'm on the nerdy side I met my husband on a video game, I draw anime all the time, love karaoke.. Well if I could find a buddy on here great but I ramble on.. :rolleyes2: hope I meet a few new friends here.. Oh and I should have my band sometime in august.. Preop is on Wednesday!

I have a pre op appointment on wednesday.. well i suppose that would be me already with my mind made up right haha.. Umm but I have just heard so many horror stories and whatnot.. Its scary but im still going to go through with it! ohh and how about a real introduction! Hi i'm Lindsey and from California i'm 28 years old and married with no kids yet..
