Nothing really to do with my sleeve directly more with my stiches
I'm also allergic to surgical tapes. They used Dermabond this time and I didn't have any trouble. Contact your dr to see what he wants you to use. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Sleep Apnea & Anasthesia
You are worrying too much. Make sure that they are aware you have sleep apnea but know that the people taking care of you are professionals. You won't be the first person that's had anesthesia and suffers from sleep apnea-I actually have it too and had my revision surgery done on 10/18/16. They will be monitoring you the entire time so don't drive yourself to crazy with worry. It won't help! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Water
Try different temperatures of water-I can't drink if it's cold. I started making decaf tea-which counts as liquids, and fruit infused Water. I can't tolerate any of the artificial sweetener products-propel, Isopure, crystal light- so this was my solution. I'm getting in 64 ounces plus and I'm just shy of four weeks Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Happy today
The smile on my face is because I was able to wear the new size Large tops that I bought at Kohls this week. I had some kohls cash to use and figured that I would buy some warmer tops since its that time of year. Imagine my surprise when I tried one on and it fit!!! Revised from LapBand to sleeve on 10/18. History of blood clots
I also have the MTHFR mutation. I had revision surgery on 10/18/16 and had to use Lovenox shots for 14 days after surgery. My hematologist was on board with the surgery. He felt that I would be better off to have surgery than carry all the extra weight. Since MTHFR can cause an increased risk of heart attacks and strokes, it was a reasonable decision. Anyone drive themselves home after surgery?
No way! Anesthesia and pain don't make good road partners! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Is peanut butter a good source?
I bought some individual packets of this at GNC to leave in my cooler for when I get back to work. Not an everyday food but in a pinch I'd rather have something like this than get fast food. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

How long is recovery after surgery?
I'm three weeks tomorrow from a revision from LapBand to sleeve. I thought I would be ready to return to work quickly, but I've decided that I'm waiting this out. I had planned on returning to work the week of Thanksgiving but have decided to hold off until the next week. I get tired-really tired-after I do much of anything. I work in sales and spend a lot of time in the car and can't imagine driving for three or four hours now. I'd fall asleep! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Why is everyone converting from band to sleeve?
I'm doing okay. I'm 2 1/2 weeks post op and so far, so good. I am not having any trouble with the move to puréed foods but am anxious to see how "real" food feels. I don't know how that's going to work with the esophagus already being damaged. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

How much protein do you get in a day?
70-90-not quite three weeks out which was the goal given to me by my nut. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Question for former banders
I'm almost three weeks out from revision to sleeve from the LapBand. I've started feeling better the last few days but I get tired out pretty quick. I'm 53, which may be part of it. I had a ton on scarring, plus an undiagnosed band slip and prolapse. I also needed a hiatal hernia repair (even though it was fixed when the band was placed). I didn't have too much trouble with swallowing right from the start. I moved to puréed on Monday of this week and so far, so good. I can eat one egg scrambled with some cheese melted in, about 1/4 c. of refried Beans. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Short Term Disability
I will end up being off 5 weeks. I'm not going to rush to get back when I'm still learning how to deal with my new tiny stomach. Today is two weeks post op and I'm glad that I didn't have to be back already. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Pain when eating anything , sleeved 10/24
I had to move to fruit infused water pretty quick. Plain water tasted awful and I still can't handle the sugar free stuff-it tastes sick sweet with a bitterness. Also drinking hot tea-funny because I was always a coffee chick Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Halloween fever
I just moved to puréed so none for me tonight. Not on my menu Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Water
Me too! After surgery, I discovered that I couldn't tolerate the sugar free water flavors-crystal light, propel, G2-all tasted way too sweet and kind of bitter. Infused water has been my lifesaver. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Shot to Reduce Risk of Blood Clots
I'm on Lovenox for four more days. It's not a big deal. You just inject with a preloaded dose into the fatty area of your belly. It stings a little, but it beats the alternative of getting a clot! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Water
Right there with you! Water infused with lemon slices and blueberry/raspberry combo. I do strain it since I'm only two weeks post op Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
