It's a good thing that I moved ahead with the revision. It turned out that my band had slipped and I had some stomach prolapse. Also, I needed an additional hiatal hernia repair. Keep in touch and I'll let you know how recovery goes. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I've been able to get liquids down,but not full liquids. Yogurt sat like a lump in my throat. Now I'm waiting for discharge until after lunch tray to see if it's better Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I have a gene mutation that makes me more likely to have clotting issues so yes, I've heard of it. I will have to continue after surgery for two weeks giving myself injections. As the last poster said, they are given in your belly and they don't hurt at all. Unless they are worried about you having a clot, you probably will only get the shots in the hospital. Went to the surgeon's office on Monday and was told to start pre-op diet the next so I didn't have time to have any food funerals. Besides, I didn't want to add any more pounds to my already high number on the scale.

The ongoing issues with my esophagus are what drove me to revision surgery so don't wait on this. My LapBand is being removed on Tuesday and I couldn't be happier. For that last year or so, I could only eat a few bites before I felt full and then I would be starving in an hour. (like you) I felt like the food was sitting at the back of my throat-right now my band is completely empty in preparation for surgery and the one solid meal I eat each day causes the same symptoms.. Last week I got stuck on Protein shake-liquid Protein shake without any texture. Do yourself a favor and get to your surgeon. You need to find out what's causing all the trouble.
