iBand convert to a Gastric Sleeve?

Has anyone had a successful conversion from an iband to a Gastric Sleeve? I had my band placed 4 years ago...have never lost much weight, lot of esophagus issues with spasms, can't seem to get me in the green zone. I have an appt.soon to discuss with my Bariatric Surgeon. I hope that my insurance (BCBS and Tricare) will pay to have it removed and pay the conversion. Your feedback is appreciated.

I'm being revised on 10/18 from LapBand to VSG due to complications with the band. I'll keep you posted. The insurance approval was really fast-two months from first visit to being assigned a surgery date.

It's a good thing that I moved ahead with the revision. It turned out that my band had slipped and I had some stomach prolapse. Also, I needed an additional hiatal hernia repair.

Keep in touch and I'll let you know how recovery goes.
