I will end up being off 5 weeks. I'm not going to rush to get back when I'm still learning how to deal with my new tiny stomach. Today is two weeks post op and I'm glad that I didn't have to be back already.

I am currently on short term disability, and I will go back to work after a total of six weeks. Taking the time to heal, and also to work through the food stages and make the necessary adjustments to living a successful life post-op (eating and otherwise) are my primary objectives right now, and taking the time to devote myself to it 100% has been the best decision for me.
