  1. Hi everyone, Just wondering how everyone's journey is going. I was banded October 2016 and have lost 50 pounds in the first 8 months but since June I have gained 5 pounds and can't seem to get back on track. I went for a fill 2 weeks ago, and comparing what and how much I'm eating to others with the band, I still feel I can eat too much. I have gone for so many fills and my band is running out of room. Not sure what I should do from here on out. I have slacked on the exercising but can't seem to find the motivation. My goal would be to lose another 25 pounds to hit my target of 150lbs. Anyway u hope everyone else is seeing the progress and change they've hoped for. Have a great week. Also here's a before and after picture because I'm still proud of what I've accomplished so far

  4. Hi everyone, I've had the band for a month tomorrow. I've lost 15 pounds so far, yay!! Although I can still eat too much and don't have much restriction. Tomorrow I'm going for my first fill and wasn't sure what the process was, especially concerning food. Appointment is at 1pm, can I eat Breakfast or should I not sure eat at all that day. liquids only?? Hope everyone is doing well! Sent from my D5803 using the BariatricPal App
  5. I was 214 pounds when I booked the surgery, the nutritionist told me that I didn't have to go on any sort of diet or liquids before surgery, just to follow the no food or drinks after midnight the day before. Good luck!! Sent from my D5803 using the BariatricPal App

  9. Just got the band done and I also know a lot of successful people with a band, why the drastic change? Does the band stop working after so many years, even if you stay on top of your fills?! Just curious. Sent from my D5803 using the BariatricPal App

  15. I've also recently been banded, three days ago now. I am having a similar experience, wasn't hungry day of surgery but the next few days I've been drinking broth, shakes and apple juice and although not really physically hungry, constantly having cravings and thinking of food. Today was worse, and I even started eating cottage cheese, apple sauce and Peanut Butter to try and stay full but still constantly drooling at the hubby's meals hope I can tough it out til first fill!! Good luck to both of us chicky! Sent from my D5803 using the BariatricPal App

  27. Thanks everyone!! I didn't do much research with the financing but as far as the band goes, my fiancé and his mother have them and I've research the band itself and knew it was exactly what I wanted. as soon as I got a good paying job, I called Sent from my D5803 using the BariatricPal App
  28. I know this was a while back, just curious as to how you all are doing now 6 months in?? How many fills did it take to get in the green zone? Getting my band done in a couple of weeks, also low bmi of 32 Sent from my D5803 using the BariatricPal App
  29. Sooo I finally decided I need help because all I do is gain no matter how hard I try! Called Smartshape for the Lap Band procedure 2 weeks ago, did an on the phone consultation with the doctor last week and was approved for financing (with the help of my hubby cosigning <3) about 2 days ago! My procedure has been booked for October 4th 2016!!!! 22 days from now, how crazy I keep reading how insurances are making people do a diet for 6 months before being approved?? What's up with that? Maybe different in Canada from other places but that sounds ridiculous. So happy it's all happening so fast because once my mind is set, I want it now!! Sent from my D5803 using the BariatricPal App
