  1. I've done both Hatha and Ashtanga yoga over the past few months and have had no problems what so ever. I can't do back bends (I have a bad lower back), but I am pretty flexible and haven't had any issues. No physical exercise has ever affected my port in anyway. You can only try it, taking it easy to start with and see!!

Yep she posted on the "post just to post" thread a few days back.....
  3. Wow diamonds! *is insanely jealous* Its true what they say, they really are a girl's best friend!
  4. Oh man Turler, well at least you know now that he just has to hit that darn port and you'll have restriction! I'm posting to say I've lost 1.5 kilos in the last 10 days after having struggled with my fill level after my slip and total unfill a few months back, and putting on 5 kilos in the last 2 months.....I WILL get to goal darnit!
  5. You're only 6 behind now! Vote people, VOTE!!!!
  6. I'm 9 can I do it too? What was the focus group for Mac?
  7. Posting to say how great it is to have people from different backgrounds on this site who share and care. And to say my foot hurts. A lot. Boo.
  8. You'll catch up again, we'll make sure of it!!!
  9. Hmmm I wish some one experienced had of told me (and I'd have listened!!!) to take it slow and easy with the fills while I was still losing weight, I lost almost a lot of weight pretty quickly with not much fill. I ended up slipping my band 18 months out and have put on weight while I gradually refill it with massive trepidation (I'm fearful of another slip!). So yeah, take it easy and spend time talking with your Dr about how you are feeling along the way, after all they are the expert! Some people I have seen have lost a heap of weight with no fill ever in their band....
  10. Oh, and I've been voting every day too BBK, you're gonna kick butt even if some people don't support you in it.
  11. Thanks for the congrats And BIGGEST hugs to all the peeps who need them. There sure seems to be some crap stuff going on for a lot of us lately. Maybe we can have a big group hug???
  12. *hugs* BBK. These other ladies have given great advice. And you're totally kicking a$$ with the voting right now, so there are a lot of people who disagree with your mother's protective and old fashioned ways.
  13. I'm 99% with Jachut. I wouldn't have had nearly as much success with my band had I not exercised. I feel healthier, happier and more energetic when I am exercising regularly. It does amazing things for the body, mind and spirit. The only con I can think of in the equation, is if you happen to sustain an injury. I injured myself when I was training to run a half marathon a few months ago (illiotibial band syndrome, better known as "runners knee"). Guess that's what you get for wanting to be that fit! Hahaha! I'm now building back up to going to the gym daily. Even with the injury, I don't regret my exercise history one bit.
  14. Posting to say I ran in a 10km fun run this morning. It rained the whole time. But I'm happy with my 65 minute time.
  15. I've been voting the past few days and you were kicking butt, its really close now though!!! Keep voting for BBK everyone!
  16. Thanks guys. The funeral was really nice (if you can say that about a funeral!). It was really representative of my Nana. It was just sad that there were only 10 people there.
  17. I'm going to my grandmother's funeral in an hour
  18. We don't really have W sizes (I'm assuming that means wide?) commonly in Australia unless you are buying a specialised brand. I probably needed a wide shoe at my highest weight though. I was in anything up to an 8.5 at my highest weight and could have NEVER squeezed my foot into a high heel of any kind, my feet were just too fat. Last week I bought a hot pair of tan stilettos. Size 7. I have a fair few pairs of shoes I just can't wear anymore because they are too big (and actually probably wouldn't want to - I went more for total comfort than looks then)....I should give them to charity.
  19. Ha Fountain Gate!!! Classic. I didn't make it to a mall with a Price Attack today to have a look. My hair is VERY long as it is (probably slightly longer than Fairy's in the pics above with her extensions in). So I'd probably just get them to thicken it up, cos it thinned out a lot when I was first banded and it never grew back. It was super thick before!
  20. True. I'm not sure if I WANT pottyboobs though! :tt2:
  21. Ooh cool, I didn't see that before. I think the dark brown would be perfect for me!
  22. Gosh I just love anyone who uses "corporate veil". That's an interesting read. Good luck with your court case Plain.
  23. I got the tingly toes thing a fair bit when i started running as my main exercise. The blood was restricted to my toes because of my gait/the way my feet hit the ground, apparently. Getting proper running socks and VERY GOOD running shoes fixed it for me 100%.
  24. Yeah we do! And I have tomorrow off work.....guess where I'm going tomorrow? lol.
