  1. Don't give up! I was denied three times and finally was assisted by Lindstrom Obesity Advocates and was approved about 2 weeks ago. I was banded last Wednesday, March 30th. I met all the guidelines and criteria set forth by my insurance plan. I think insurance companies want you to give up. The first two denials were asking for additional medical documentation that was previously provided and the third denial stated it was for cosmetic reasons, even though my BMI was above 40.
  2. I was in your shoes! I was banded Wednesday and was sick all night long. Just the smell of my husband and daughter's food was making me sick. Called the docs office first thing the next morning and had some anti-nausea meds called in. They worked great. They told me to try to sip on crushed ice and about 2 ounces of approved Fluid every 2 to 3 hrs. I hope you are feeling better. What a difference a day or two will make.
  3. I was banded and had a hiatal hernia repair on Wednesday, March 30th. Wednesday night was awful, alot of wretching and non-stop pain between my shoulder blades. Doing much better today, just so tired.
