Playing the waiting game...

Hey everyone! I'm waiting to hear back from the surgeon's office on whether or not my insurance decides to cover my surgery or not. Ahhh it's driving me crazy!! Lol. Hopefully it all works out and I get banded ASAP. Can't wait to be able to share my experiences with all of you! smile.gif

I know how you feel waiting is no fun...Good Luck

I'm waiting patiently too! I waited 2 weeks then started bugging my insurance about getting me an answer...I'm hoping and praying they will call me on Monday! Good luck!!!

I think it took my insurance company about 3 to 4 weeks to give me the thumbs up. I have heard about so many people going in for a consult and then getting approved in about a month. I had to jump thru hoops to for my insurance company for about a year before they said yes. I hope you hear from them soon. Good luck!

Sigh...thanks everyone. Unfortunately I got the call today. My insurance denied me. :(

Don't give up! I was denied three times and finally was assisted by Lindstrom Obesity Advocates and was approved about 2 weeks ago. I was banded last Wednesday, March 30th. I met all the guidelines and criteria set forth by my insurance plan. I think insurance companies want you to give up. The first two denials were asking for additional medical documentation that was previously provided and the third denial stated it was for cosmetic reasons, even though my BMI was above 40.
