Sick to my stomach

I was banded today and every time I sip on water, immediately I'm sick. Will it get better?? Hopefully tomorrow, since I will be eating a little bit more, that will make me feel better. How many onces of liquids should I have tomorrow and it is every hour??? My book isn't every clear on that.

I would call your doc. and let them know what's going on. You probably have swelling from the surgery, but I would call. It's not good to not be able to keep water down, yoiu will get dehydrated. Hope you feel better soon.

I bet your surgeon put saline in your band at the time of surgery. Call and find out. Ask to have it removed if there is fill in there.

If there isn't, don't wait too long to do something about it. Being dehydrated is bad news!

Best wishes!

I was in your shoes! I was banded Wednesday and was sick all night long. Just the smell of my husband and daughter's food was making me sick. Called the docs office first thing the next morning and had some anti-nausea meds called in. They worked great. They told me to try to sip on crushed ice and about 2 ounces of approved Fluid every 2 to 3 hrs. I hope you are feeling better. What a difference a day or two will make.
