I am currently at my final stage of being banded. I started my journey in Feb 2010 with a seminar. My paperwork was submitted on April 22, 2010 and was approved by Blue Cross/Anthem on April 29, 2010. My second insurance Unitedhealthcare was approved on May 5, 2010. I have an appointment on May 19 with Dr Mirande, in Klamath Falls, Oregon. I am hoping to be banded on June 7, 2010. I started my research on the lap band about 4-5 years ago, but at that time I could not quit smoking and had no insurance....was planning on going to Mexico. I am now smoke free for over a year and have 2 insurances and thought it was time to check into the band again. I have finally made it....and can't wait for this journey to begin!!!
