  1. i have had the arm pain from day one the only thing that helped me was getting a fill. It is called defered pain from the band rubbing on the diaphram. sad to day that the fills that were needed to keep the pain down caused the espougas to be paralized and dialited causing me to having the band removed this month. only 2% of people get this hopefully you will no tbe in that 2%. the only thing worked was to keep pressure on the band but you cannot live like that it causes damage. talk to your dr at your first appt if it doesnt stop. Have a great band journey.
  2. Good for you a lot of people think that. You doing what she will not do she rather stay fat just goes to show how stupid people are her sister is probley banded and sitting on fat butt wondering why the weight not just falling off. It takes a lot of work and displine you keep it up my friend and as you lose give her your clothes and tell her hope she gets good use of them cause your not going back there anymore and just smile and wave as you go by her house. Best of luck you be there before u know it.
  3. i am in the process of getting my band removed due to dilation of the espougase and arm pain i havent gain my weight back the sleeve is dangerious after a band it a great first choice but not after the band they say that the bypass is the safest route. good luck
  4. hang in there i am 2 1/2 years out i lost 5 to 7 pounds a month slower is better because it gives your skin time to adjust i am to say i am at goal and have had the skin removed. just stay with it it will happen give your body time to heal you will be at goal before u know it

  7. i am 26 months out and have struggled with the sholder pain from day one the only way i have gotten it to stop is to get a fill almost to the point of being to tight to get it to stop. it is cause from the band rubbing on the diaphram your dr should have knowen this it is not commond but it does happen. try getting a fill to help keep a little pressure on the band. the solution is it will just stop on its own or get the band respostioned or removed some stops after months and some like mine dont wish i had better news hang in there it will get better a heating pad help a little

  14. pat dont give up you need to back to your dr and see what not going right
  15. You have made the first start to a new life. I have been banded 2 years and i am at goal 110 down and just had a lower body lift. I have a few rules that i lived by and yes some times it wasnt easy and i did have "reward days" i still alway went back to my rules here is a list that worked for me 1. stick with the plan dont let anyone hold u back be the leader and motovator of others and not the follower 2. keep a high protein diet protein kills the apptite and build muscle helping with the weight loss rule of thumb if it didnt contain 10% protein per calories i didnt eat it example 100 cal 10 % protein or as close as u can get 3. find u a work out partner and go to the gym or have a home program 4. write down everything u put in your mouth no sugar no white flour 5. dont set unrealist goals reward your self when u meet a goal 6. and keep it in mind that u are making a life change and your never look back good luck i was a size 24 when i started and i am now a 6 so u can do anything and yes it is worth all the bad days i would also sugest the loseit app for the iphone and getting u a bodybuggsp.com it is worth the money but most important go se your lapband dr each month keep will keep u in line and make u accountable good luck
