I know really with the surgery on Halloween lol....This is horrible and if i'm still hungry like this afterwards I might just snap....it's bad!!!!! I don't know if its in my head or what!!! And Dawn thanks for the prayers on not being hungry hahahaha....You are almost to the mushies hang in there....I would give my right arm for cottage cheese and I dont even like cottage cheese???? hahahaa FYI my sister just made dinner and it smells sooooo good......omg is this worth it im literally in tears

You can do this! I know it's really hard but it's SO worth it! I had to do a 2 week clear liquid diet before AND after. I thought I was going to die... but I got through it! Just remember there are far worse things than being hungry... namely- your surgeon closing you back up because you didn't follow the diet! You are so close- Hang in there!! :)

I am loving love with my band, seven months, 102lb. This morning I actually jogged!

Good luck.

Hello everyone, I am 3 days post op and had to do 2wks liquids before surgery as well. I am not experiencing any hunger since surgery but I hear that everyone is different. I have started blogging about my pre and post op experience if you are intetested, check it out. Ive posted several easy recipes to break the monotony of drinking meals as well as things to help me through my days of bandster hell, as some might say...but I dont think its that's bad. Follow this link http://bandipes.blogspot.com

I found alit of other peoples blogs very inspiring while preparing for surgery and I hope that I, too, can be helpful.

Thank you so much for the responses and the words of encourgement....im at the final countdown now!!!!! I will be at the hospital in less than 12 hours!!!! I am so nervous yet excited....I will keep you all posted as much as I can!!! I feel like crap right now :( Just want to feel a little better maybe once I can get a little protein in I will feel a little more like myself again!!! Beleive it or not I would do anything for a protein shake right now lol

Good luck to you!! Congrats on making it to the first day of the rest of your skinny life!! Teresa

I found that Protein shakes, help take the edge of. But good shakes not cheap junk that don't have much protein.

Also the thicker the better. It fills the void Sip on them throughout the day.

It's curious how each doctors approch differs, I had my final pre-op yesterday, getting banded on the 18th, and my pre-op check list doesn't have anything for liquid only, execpt for the day prior to the surgery, where it's Clear liquids only, at 3pm it says take 2 Dulcolax, then at 5pm mix a whole bottle of MiraLax with 64oz of Gatorade and drink 8oz every 10 - 15 mins until gone, and that's it... I couldn't fathom doing weeks with no solids before surgery, after is sort of a no brainer... Good on you folks for being strong enough to deal with it.. I hope I can be just as strong!

Congrats on being the lucky one Matt, I had to do 3 weeks liquid only diet, you must be a skinny dude

That's just to make sure that you are cleaned out, and empty. After the surgery you will get a different Diet.

I was also banded on 10/31 So we are soul Sisters in Bandland.

Let me know how u r doing ,

Waynef, Not so sure 343 is all that skinny lol

54Shirley, I know that the post-op diet is liquids liquids liquids, but afterwards at least I'd have the thought that, it's in, I'm banded, just get through it and it will be fine. Pre-op fasting, well my paperwork made sure to state that something might happen to delay the surgery. I've done fasting/starvation/liquid only diets before... they suck. I did one fast for a month and it was beyond sucksville.

I'm just glad that, so far, it seems that everyone that's active here is pretty damn supportive. So, kudos to those for helping everyone else out, one day at a time...

Matt
