  1. I revised from the lapband 6 weeks ago today and I must admit that I have had the easiest time with the sleeve. While I hated my band I appreciate the lessons I learned from it to prepare me for the sleeve. I can eat very little a feel full. I eat every 2-4 hours and I now love water and water ONLY! I cannot stand the taste of anything else. I don't crave sweets and a bite satisfies me if I do. Let me know if you have any more questions.
  2. How long did it take you to get to 130?
  3. Not alone. I'm feeling the same way today
  4. I was sleeved on 5/22. I lost 14 pounds in the first 10 days then I stalled for almost three weeks. Now I'm 5 weeks out and lost a total of 16 pounds. I know that I don't get all my water in but I do get close. I work out for an hour 3-5 days a weeks burning 300-350 calories. I am losing inches so I guess I'll take what I can get but I am frustrated.
  5. I use the same thing! It doesn't taste that great but I've used it for years so it doesn't bother me but to someone new I would suggest adding a little honey to it.
  6. I revised on 5/22 so about 5 weeks out. My band was all good for the first year then all went to hell for the next two years. I'm down 16 pounds since my sleeve and I love it! No issues and it was seamless for me since I already knew what to do and what not to do. I'm greatful that I have the sleeve now and wouldn't change it for anything since I know this time I WILL get to goal!
  7. 5 weeks out surgery on 5/22 down 16 pounds. Only 10 pounds away from my lowest adult weight!!
  8. I did this for looks primarily. My husband is hot and I use to be hot right along with him. I want us to be that power couple again! However, I have a long family history of hbp, diabetes, heart disease, high cholesterol etc. I want to prevent those issues instead of trying to do something about after the fact. So yes my first thought is wanting to wear and swim suit, shorts and tight dresses and not be embarrassed, then my health.
  9. Mootopia is an HEB store brand if lactose free milk.
  10. Surgery 5/22 . I have lost 15 pounds in 4 weeks and I guess I'll take what I can get. I'm trying to figure out what works for me. The first 14 came off in the first 10 days. I exercise about 3 times a week and take in very few carbs. Maybe 20-30 per day. I hate all protein shakes post op so I try to eat it all. Hoping to lose 16 pounds by my 30th birthday in August. Not sure that's going to happen though.
  11. I'm 29 and was sleeved 5/22. I have lost 15 pounds so far. I have no problems with any food so far only sometimes I get nauseous/tired after I eat for about 30 minutes.
  12. I was sleeved on 5/22. I have lost 14 pounds which was in the first 10 days. I have been at the same weight every since. I'm not freaking out about the stall just yet as I am losing inches and I'm ok with that.....for now.
  13. I hope so. I'm not discouraged just frustrated. I have such a hard time getting anymore than 40-50 grams of protein in a day. I love water now so that's not a problem but protein shakes! Yuck!!
  14. I'm at a stall. I have been the same weight for about 10 days now. So still 14 pounds down since 5/22. I guess it will move when it's ready!
  15. I revised to the sleeve on 5/22 SW: 185 CW: 171
  16. You will do great! I'm two weeks post op and sometimes forget I even had surgery I feel so good! Keep us posted when you can!
  17. I got the band in 2010 lost 50 lbs and gain 20 back over the last year. I just had my revision 1 week ago and I think I had more pain with the band. Yesterday I started walking on the treadmill for a hour and I feel pretty much back to normal. Have lost 8.7 pounds already!!!
  18. Wow that's awesome! I'm 5"2 and 1 week today with a lost of 8.7 pounds so far
  19. I too am one week out and am no where close to meeting all my goals. All of my protein shakes makes me sick. I order several sample packs from different companies and they all make me sick. Even the Atkins shakes! I found chocolate lactose free milk and it has 12 grams and I can drink that ok but that's not enough. I only want to drink water other than that but I'm lucky to get 30 ounces a day. Getting frustrated. ????
  20. One week post op and 1 solid then liquid stool and nothing since. Should I be concerned?
  21. A few of my lapband scares were reused in my revision. Then big one 1-2 inches long and 4 others including the drain but they are minuscule.
  22. Girl I asked Alma if I needed one and she said I would be ok without it. There were others in the van with us and Samuel Sr that spoke Spanish and English but when the guard started asking questions nobody wanted to talk! Lol. So I told her why I was there and she said ok and let us thru. Somebody was praying for me for sure!!!
