  2. Starting weight 151 Today's weight 150 Goal weight 140 Lost for this week 1 pound
  3. I was also sleeved on May 22nd and down 35 lbs!!
  4. I don't believe that information to be true. The sleeve is all what the band promised to be but could not deliver. I revised from the band to sleeve on May 22nd and it was the best thing I could have ever done for myself. For years I suffered with trying to eat properly with the band and ended up in pain and vomiting almost at every meal. That is no way to live. I went to my surgeon here in the states about a revision and he told me that he no longer suggest the band to anyone due to the chronic failure his patients were having and suggested that I move forward in revising to the sleeve. He didn't do my revision but that was due to insurance. In 4 months I have lost 35 pounds which is way more than I lost in that amount of time with the band. My dr removed as much scar tissue as he possibly could so that he could give me a proper sleeve. I have not had any issues and wish I would have gotten the sleeve in the first place.
  5. I know I'm late but I want in on this! CW 151 Halloween W 140 Ultimate GW 125-130
  6. Everything works differently for everyone. I have never had depo but I have had both IUD's. With the paragaurd it was great the first 3 years then all of a sudden my periods became long and heavy lasting 7-10 days. I had that taken out and got the mirena about spotting consistently for 5 months straight I got it taken out. My sister has the mirena and doesn't have a period at all. My BFF also had it and found out she was 5 months preggo with it in place. I'm currently on lo lo estrin fe oral bc after an ectopic pregnancy back in 2011 and I don't have a period at all on it. So like I said everyone is different. Good luck on whatever you choose.
  7. I'm four months post op 5'2 Hw 218 Sw 186 Cw 151
  8. I have lost about 35ish lbs since my surgery on 5/22. I have been in a stall for about 3 weeks but I am still losing inches. I have realized that my weight loss comes in pounds then inches and repeat. And I am ok with this. I'm excited to shop now and love the changes in my body.
  9. I have no doubt that you will have an amazing experience with them as much as I did. You will do great and I've been saving this seat on the losers bench just for you!! Please keep me posted while you are there if you can! I hear they have english cable tv at Florence now! That should make it even better!! Lol
  10. I have tried diet soda with water added to eliminate the carbonation as much as possible. It doesn't taste as good but gives me the fix.
  11. I did not have or need a passport but if you are unsure and have enough time I would get one.
  12. Please go with the sleeve! I am 3 months post op from revising from the band to sleeve. It was the best decision I have ever made and have already lost 50% of my excess weight. First of all with the band you do not have immediate restriction. You have to go in every month for fills which was a pain for me since my dr was an hour away. So for the first year or so the weightloss was all me. There is a very fine line in between the "sweet" spot and too much fill. Once you are over filled life then becomes misery! I could no longer eat any kind of meat or fibrous veggie without throwing up. I had gotten to the point that I was throwing up at every meal every day until I started turning to slider foods. Which is junk! All junk when down with ease! Which resorted to me gaining back 20 of the 60 pounds I had lost over the course of 3 years. Yup it took me that long to lose 60 pounds! Now lets talk about how unsafe the band is and all the severe issues that the band can and will likely cause. Prolapse, acid reflux, slippage, erosion into your tummy, port flips, erosion and protruding. Another thing is when you have too much of a fill for too long. They have to empty your band and you start all over filling it up again. I have also recently heard that the band is not meant to last forever and needs to be replaced every 10 years!!! Yes the band is less invasive of a procedure but look at all the health issues you could be facing with it. Is it worth it? Not to me. Yes the band is reversible but so will your weightloss. I only know 1 person out of the 15 people that I know who have had the band ever get to their goal weight. Had I been aware of the sleeve prior to me getting the band there is no way I would have ever chose the band. Good luck with whatever decision you make!
  13. I'm May 22nd and have lost 30 lbs. BMI was about 34 now it's 28.
  14. I'm in a stall. Same weight as last week. Guess I better kick things up a notch!
  15. I agree that is will come in time but I'm in the same situation. I run a 5k 3-5 times a week and I have thighs, hips and booty for days. My boobs on the other hand have shrank tremendously!
  16. I have tried almost all of the pre and post op and they are delish! The chili is awesome per my husband. I bought two and he ate both for lunch two days in a row so I'm taking his word for it. Beef merlot is may favorite, then sesame chicken stir fry, chicken Alfredo, and crustless chicken pot pie. I haven't had the chicken Marsala, turkey breast or meatloaf yet but they are in my freezer. These are great for convenience and like others have said I can only eat half at time so the sodium doesn't bother me at all.
  17. I had mine unfilled for about 6 weeks prior to my revision. It does make the surgery easier IMO.
