  4. Hi there! I was wondering where you are on your lapband journey? :)

  5. I got 4.5 with my first fill 2 weeks ago..and it is definitely plenty for now. I havent heard of anyone getting 7 at their first...and really i havent heard of many having much moer than that altogether in a 10 cc band,. But...everyone is different.
  6. THank you All for your responses!!! I like to have some feedback ...i know all Dr.s are differnt. until i had this first fill...i was going on sheer willpower and it was very hard..but once i had the feel...it was awesome. Im still ok...but hoping the restriction stays. Good luck to you all!!!
  7. Hi ! I am now almost 6 weeks post op and feeling great. Once i had my first fill..things started moving quickly. i love my band and am so happy i made this decision. I know there are going to be slow months and bumps in the road...and its not magic. My question is...how much did you get for your first fill..and how much do you have presently. Is it your sweet spot. My first fill was 4.5 cc and i think its great. Restriction is awesome even tho doc says it will loosen and i will probably need more to get to my sweet spot! Thanks for any advice :blushing: :w00t:
  8. I have no idea where my port is... I have my post opp visit tomorrow so I plan to ask... Im starting to feel back to normal. How are you holding up? I will look you up on facebook. My e-mail is blairpilgrim@aol.com and Im listed as Blair Pilgrim- Harrington,,, So how much have you lost so far? And what is your diet like at this point? Im on liquid only for 2 weeks and then puree/ baby food for the next 4. Im so bored with the liquid, its not as bad as I thought it would be! But I am so ready for that to be over and to get some fluids in my band! Im down 15 lbs, lost 5 on pre-op diet and 10 lbs since surgery.

  9. YOU ARE AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CongratS!!!!!!! I am sooo proud of you. I just love this site...the motivation and success of others pushes me to do the best I can. I am only a week post op but hope I can do half as well as you!! Gosh...thats just amazing!!))
  10. Hi Im 8 days post op and doing fabulously. I feel awesome and and ready to work at this and get this weight off. My Dr. does not do a fill until the 4th week post op as I have no fluid in my band at all. I went for my week post op appt. today and he told me that I may not lose any more weight until I have a fill? I was like whhhhaatttt?? Im curious to know if this is always the case and why? And why he said this...I am staying low card high protein and starting on mushies.

    Help-I'm Really Hungry

Yes she was being rude! She was talking to her like she was 5 yrs old. Yes that is a good thread i agree...but the girl wasnt bitching. She was asking for help and advice...which is what these forums are for. Good lord people.
  12. Congrats on your success!!!! I am just now 5 days post op am sooo excited to start this journey!!! I cant wait till I can say I am a year out and to see the results! Keep up the good work
  13. thanks both of you!! I love this site...because everyone always has an answer to the weirdest questions!!!! Im sure its ok...just feels so weird...but i guess it takes some getting used to. I mean afterall i do have something implanted in my body
  14. Hi, I got my surgery 9/30. I think I started at like 37bmi... i have lost about 12lbs. Yippee. However, I am starting to get super hungry. I had a few handful of MM's today. I chewed them to almost nothing LOL. Contrats on yours too. good luck with it!

  15. Hey all! First of all i am super excited to say i am an offical bandster!!!! I was banded OCt. 5th and feel really good. I have had a fairly easy recovery compared to some i guess. My question is...my port is obviously sore and tender as it should be.. but sometimes when i move a certain way..it feels liks something is popping or shifting in my side. It kinda freaks me out a little...so im trying to be careful. Im sure this is normal..but I would love some feedback if anyone has a clue as to what i am talking about Thanks
