  1. It’s been 19 years me and my band have been together and I have lost over 200 pounds today. I weigh 239 pounds and that’s a far reach from 430. However, I recently learned that erosion is a medical term for hole in your stomach Caused by the band so it had to be removed. It’s been three weeks now and the pain, the discomfort, the inability to tolerate food as upon me again and it reminds me of the days when I first got home from surgery. I guess now I just need to learn to not eat for a while maybe I’ll lose another 20 pounds. Either way my band is gone. I’m alive and well healthy blessed and have much more life. God loves me. Louie
  2. No problems, I did see a doctor about 10 years ago because I had hurt myself in the gym that caused my band to feel awkward, but it was fine. I still have had no fills and my weight is still down 100+ pounds, I am today at 265. I love my band. Still and I still have plenty of restriction and occasionally I find myself in the kitchen sink chucking but I’m OK with that. I signed up for it. I don’t feel fat. ??

  5. Hahaha I am 15 years into the lap band successfully with no fills and still down almost 100 pounds from surgery day. Was 150+ down before life stepped in lol. I love my band still, however. Exactly as my doctor had said this band is not a magic era it is to help you learn how to eat well. He was exactly truthful and that’s the way it is today. I eat one filling meal a day about 3 PM and a snack around 8 PM. My meal is generally planned about a week in advance because I still craving love food. So I eat it, all of it. Just not all at once. 1st protein must have substance no bullshit food like lettuce. The protein of it is generally about 3 or 5 ounces. When it hurts I stop eating. Rule #1 snack: salami & good cheese 2oz drink ONLY water ever lol reminder: the only exception to any rule is there’s always an exception mine has a 30 day value to it minimum. eat and drink what you crave never eat it more than once a month lots of luck it’s all in your head

  16. My lowest # was 203lbs and I then thought "The Bom" and then it all went to shit. For some reason my mind "I think took over" and screwed it all up LOL or at least thats who I am blaming today LOL . SO, moving forward I have NEVER had a fill in 4 years so I think it is time. My goal is to get Fills in 2011 and IFFN by JULY I am not at or below 220 I am going to have this band removed ONLY to have it put back on in 2012 / the surgery is always good for a boost I figure. God Bless everyone who makes the attempt to be a better person inside and out. I STILL - LOVE MY BAND
  17. So, I have had my band and I love it by the way for more than 3 years. My weight has gone from 325+ to now 225 and I have and do work our 4 times a week, nothing to strenous, walking very fast and toe touches as well as arm swinging fro rotation of waist. NOW, I am feeling like something is wrong cause of this tender area. I can feel my port but feels like it is not laying as it was before. I can and do eat solids and soups porpotionately and they stay down so I am not sure waht is going on. The tenderness is just below my center - top of stomach and the tenderness is and has been there for 3 days now. What do or would you do. I know about -run to the doctor and have it checked so please do net tell me that. Just trying to find feed back from anyone who may have experienced this in their journey and what their results were for resolve. Thanks in advance.
  18. 3 years and 1 month ago on this date I had my Mexican experience in Tijuanna with Dr Corvola and i weighed over 330lbs. Today, I think I am like 210lbs but I have and continue to have many failures and learning experiences. Like, I am back to NO SUGARS, they are the enemy no doubt. And, I am back in the gym more than 4 days a week and I am so scared to allow any indulgence that its sick. I want so much but I allow nothing and I like it like that for now. I a, insistant to get under 200 and the sooner the better. All by the Grace of God and the discipline of a bandster. Happy Thanksgiving.:cool2:
