OK, I can't stand Isopure, any other ideas
I did unjury unflavored mixed with crystal light (to hide the flavor). I dont think you can buy unjury in stores though.... maybe you could have it overnighted

Very Sick- Please Help!
I'm so glad your feeling better. Its really hard at first to figure out how much is too much. Many of us had this struggle in the beginning, I'm know I sure did. Its hard to get used to how little our bodies need now. Just take it a day at a time, and learn the lessons as they come. I was a compulsive eater too. I was pretty good most days but then I would go on binges. Its hard.... sometimes I still get the urge to shovel it in but I know I cant'. I have to find other ways to sooth myself. I'm learning bit by bit. Mostly I find if I'm nice to myself.... I don't need so much self soothing..... hot baths are nice too Hang in there.... we'll get the hang of this sleeve thing

ARGH!!!! I know you are so right. I told myself before I got sleeved that I would no longer obsesss.... the point of the surgery was to let go of all that. Sometimes I just slip into that old rotton thinking

Acid rebound and kicking ppi's
I had the same thing. I didn't eat much at all while I was off of PPI's, it just kind of hurt to do so. Unfortunately it got worse, not better and I had to go back on. My doc gave me pretty specific guidelines for doing the cold trukey thing. She said as soon as I got a sore throat I had to go back on. Hopefully you will get better soon... your body will figure out that it doesnt need all that acid. good luck

Self--pay bull****
Well, I imagine that you are already set on your surgeon, and your on the way to enacting the plan you designed for yourself. BUT something to keep in mind is that surgery in mexico is a flat fee. None of this running around getting nickle and dimed by every professional that walks within 30 feet of your room. I know its kinda late in the game to change plans... just a thought......

Day 1 - Should I stay another day?
Like everybody says... its a question of insurance. But... if it will cover... staying would be a nice way to take care of yourself. I was in for two days and really love not having the pressure of having to drin because I knew my IV wouod keep me hydrated. I also loved loved loved the hospital bed. It was hard to day flat at first and my first night in a flat bed was a little restless.

OMG I got a B12 shot yesterday am bout 3weeks post op
I've gotten b12 shots before (pre-op) and had the same experience. I felt GREAT for several weeks. The first week I couldn't even sleep I had so much energy (almost manic) I have talked to people who get b12 and don't feel anything. I think maybe some of us are just super sensitive... or super low to start with. I don't know but I'm glad you reminded me. I'm going to get one.

Is it possible
Hey Daisy Of course I remember you... I'm glad to hear from you. I wanted to check in with everybody after but I lost my piece of paper with everyones e-mails. I'm glad your doing well. 27lbs is great!!!! I know I just have to hang in there. Its just that I have days when I want it NOW. Its funny.... in the past when I got discouraged it usually ended in a full on eating binge.... I cant do that any more and just that in itself is worth it. I hated those binges.... felt so out of control. I'm going to weight again on the 21st (our sleevaversary) and I'll see whats up then. People are starting to notice though. I just get scared some times. I have fought this weight my whole life and it sometimes seems impossible that something could actually work. good to hear from you take care Stacey

First post with a Thank You!
Hey NC Redneck I just found this thread... sorry or I would have responded sooner. I don't know who you finally settled on but if it's doctor rod you won't be sorry. I was sleeved by him and his team and they were great. I got excellent care. Let me know if you have specific questions... I'm happy to answer. Congrats on the date Stacey

Acid rebound and kicking ppi's
Wow oregondaisy.... good to see your post. I am told that once my esophagus heals and we start the weaning process... we will be using tagament or some other H2 blocker to help with the process.

*sigh* I may have figured out my nausea/wobbly issues
Well, it sounds like you know the root cause and your meeting it head on. I was going to ask why you thought the onset was right after surgery, but you addressed that.... Of course you were feeling a bit fragile right after surgery, but your coping mechanism (eating) was gone. I'm sure you've tried this stuff, but this may be a great time to introduce some new coping strategies like hot baths, music that you love, writing, throwing pottery, graffiti.... whatever. The more completely you can get absorbed into something, the better. You have the right attitude.... you identified the issue and you have a plan for its management. You probably know this but exerise absolutly helps manage some of the neurotransmitters associated with anxiety. Hang in there thanks for sharing Stacey

& Women say cramps are so bad
I had a few mishaps at first. Didn't get to the vomiting stage but wanted to. I found that if I went and walked around the block it got better... also burping helps. I'm pretty good about knowing when to stop now. Overeating now has some very quick and harsh punishers built in and I avoid it at all costs... it took me a while to figure out when to stop though. I'm used to packing it in.

Diet Change
Great news Swiftflow. I love that escilator thing. It is a killer. I think it does me better than anything else they have at the gym. I'm still not weighing but I've got my fingers crossed for when I weigh on the 21st (my sleeveaversary)

Oatmeal and fiber question
My instructions were soft diet till 6 weeks and then slowly start to introduce whatever foods I wanted. Broccoli was the first veggie I tried. It didn't cause any issues but I was only able to eat about 2 bites and it just didn't taste the same. Its a vegetable with a lot of volume. I may need to wait a little while longer. Stacey

Mexico second day post op--yesterday was yuck
Yea Rollermom!!!!! It gets better every day

Oatmeal and fiber question
I loved vegies before surgery... especially broccoli. Now, not so much. I have to make myself eat them. I think I need to back up and try some softer vegies like peas or squash.

Is it possible
Thanks so much for your encouragement guys. I don't have a nut but I go to the doc in 1mo. I can ask then if things are still bad. Really, I think I was just feeling sorry for myself..... soon after posting I realized that it was bloating and PMS...... dang it gets me every time. My Protein is high and I am exercsing daily... Most days I am really happy with my sleeve. Slow weight loss is better than no weight loss!!! Thanks guys Stacey

Is it possible
do you guys think its possible to get the sleeve and not loose weight. I don't mean drinking milk shakes etc... I mean making healthy choices and staying between 500 - 1000 calories (depending on the day). I don't know if I'm loosing or not cuz I quit weighing. If I'm loosing it can't be more than a pound or so a week. I remember my grandmother used to eat like a bird. There was no way she ate over 800 calories a day and she was probably 50 - 70 lbs overweight. I don't know.... I guess I'm just discouraged today.
