  1. i think id rather be large and work my ass off than be "normal" and have stinky problems all day long. the band has, for the most part, changed my lifestyle. what part of a lifestyle change (other than being painfully afraid to pass gas) has the DS given to their patients. can still eat garbage (even boasts about it).. thats not a healthy lifestyle change... WLS is not just about losing weight, its about changing your lifestyle and i ate garbage 24/7 before my surgery... dont need a surgery to continue that..

  3. BUT (and that's a big but...) this is not a DS forum. if we were trashing a DS'er on their forum, then that would be a different story...

  7. since August, i've lost about 10-15 pounds, but many many many inches... im thinking 8 off my waist (pre tummy tuck), 6-7 off my hips, thighs, bust, etc about 3-4 each. there are days i'd take the inches off before the weight cause the inches are more noticeable. the weight is 'just a number'... you're doing great - dont sweat it. :cursing:

  23. hi, welcome to LBT. the band is a great TOOL, but you do have to work with it. it IS a drastic life change, but think of all the great things that will result in those changes you will have made. look for some threads around here labeled NSV (non scale victory) - crossing legs, fitting in a size 16, fitting in a size TEN, no problems on airplanes, the list is endless. good luck and it truly is worth it.
