  1. i dont see a group thread :confused2:
  2. except you dont want the water to STOP. you want it to significantly slow, but not stop. being filled so much to where you cant eat is extremely unhealthy and dangerous.
  3. congrats!! do i see an april/may thread in the works?? hint hint
  4. thats when you just follow up the not so good advice with better ... :tongue_smilie:
  5. yeah, LB online only ... but liek i said, get the item numbers and bring them to a store. when i was ever so briefly preggers last month, the store manager said they'd order and ship them to me for free ???? **shrug**
  6. thanks for posting those ... eye opening to say the least. scary is more like it.
  7. but if i'm too tight to actually eat, i'll loose weight, right????
  8. hi, welcome to LBT. the band is a wonderful tool when used properly. eating well and exercising will get you the optimal weight loss. the band makes it easier to eat smaller portions. the rest is up to you. best of luck to you.
  9. welcome to LBT and best of luck to you
  10. hi Laura welcome to LBT. the band is one of the best things i've done for myself. its a wonderful tool, but will require work (eating right and working out for optimal loss). the pre/post op diets were not horrible, but not the best thing. my suggestion is follow your doctor's guidance, not here for what you should be eating/drinking ... every doctor is different. best of luck to you!
  11. welcome Moe. the band is a great weight loss tool!
  12. hi welcome to LBT!
  13. hi Bonnie welcome to LBT. my suggestion is to read as much as you can here (especially the pre op board). there is also a texas board where you can get local information. good luck!
  14. ive been banded for about 17 months. i can still have a SMALL amount of bread - if i chew well, i love thin crust pizza and to be honest, i've lost my taste for diet coke (used to almost need an IV drip.) the band is one of the best things i've done for myself. good luck
  15. hi Jo, welcome to LBT.
  16. you look great!!
  17. exactly ... its intention is not to restrict so much that you cannot eat. its that you cannot eat a lot. you'll do fine. dont leave here cause a few people abuse their bands.
  18. do you think you'll be needing mat. clothes or do you think you'll just use your 'closet stash' throughout your pregnancy? if you'll need mat clothes, lane giant *sigh* actually has some cute mat clothes... you can pick what you want online and go to the store for free shipping or something like that... ???
  19. OMG charcoal underwear???? WTF?
  20. i was just getting ready to post that exact same thing ... if you dont have a disposal, go to the grocery store with the candy in hand and pitch it in one of those nasty bins... sorry you're having to deal with the sugar monster.
  21. so sorry you are going through this. best of luck with the removal surgery.
  22. whoa! that's the 'secret' being overfilled and borderline malnourished?? i think i'd rather experience a plateau... from http://www.lapbandtalk.com/f109/countdown-last-adjustment-unfill-46096/
