  1. Karey, good to know, thanks! the clothes just wouldnt fit last night, but i hadnt been wearing my garment all day. thanks! well i walked .68 miles in 30 mins today. tired and starving when i finished. going to be an early night for me!
  2. thats a wonderful NSV!!! congrats
  3. welome birdee. the weekend totally stunk! but back on track today (mostly - i did stay within my carb limit) b - atkins shake s - 1/2 bologna & cheese roll up l - 2 bologna & cheese roll ups s - 2 milano milk chocolate Cookies (14 grams of carbs!!! about 2/3 for the day) worked out at the gym d - starving had about 1 1/2 bacon smoked cheddar Sams Club burger w/ mustard those burgers are SO delish and easy!!!
  4. well i walked today (max speed was 1.4) for 1/2 hour. not only am i really tired and swollen (wearing my binder now) but i was STARVING when i got home. absolutely starving. (had 1 1/3 burger, no bun)... i got unfilled based upon my LB surgeon's STRONG suggestion and was actually pretty glad i did cause i got kinda tight about 2-3 days post PS. i got a fill to 9cc's, but i was at 11 and that was a good fill. so now my LB surgeon is fighting with the fill people to get me back to where i was. such the ordeal.
  5. mmmmm ... ice cream... YAY ... running! hope the PT doesnt have to last too long! thanks for the welcome. awww, being sawed in 1/2 isnt that courageous ... :tt2: not sure if i can do the 6 hours of cardio. my PS is still very hesitant to let me on the treadmill. i am, however, going tonight for at least 20 minutes. Julie, i know you didnt have muscle repair and that makes things really different, but how long til you really starting exercising? there are times i feel like im still going to split in 1/2. and of course, my restriction is not all there yet since my unfill so the hunger moster is killing me as well. i'm hoping my LB surgeon will waive the normal 4 week waiting period and let me get more. so, for May, i'm going to say 15 pounds. it's not much, but dunno if i can do more. will give it 110% though. SO glad you are feeling better. thanks! :bored:
  6. now you arent supposed to look on the bright side of things ... but, i know my step-mom ... she isnt the bright side type of person ... but let's just pretend she is... i called her yesterday as i was cleaning out my closet and offered my clothes to her sisters (one is just about my pre-op size of 6XL+ maybe...) she hesitated ... kinda like my sisters arent as big as you were ... but agreed ...
  7. that is wonderful!!
  8. yeah, just take it easy and SLOW ... that's the key.
  9. as long as you are loosing (heh) weight, you are fine. liquids are entirely overrated. i dont like Mt. Dew, will beer work?
  10. i was released to a bath about 10 days out, but ask your surgeon.
  11. i dont do buns, but i can have a SMALL piece of bread with dinner (Macaroni Grill, etc...) i do best with the crispy bread, but if i am really careful, i can do regular bread... BUT - never, ever, in the morning...
  12. restriction is a funny thing. i am super tight in the morning and loosen up in the afternoon/evening. one thing i noticed is you said you PB'd then ate then PB'd. if you PB, the best advice would be to go on liquids for 18-24 hours afterwards. when you PB, your stomach swells and makes things tighter. liquids will help. keep your Protein up though with a good Protein Drink (even milk will work) good luck.
  13. hi, welcome to LBT. this board is a great resource and source of support. good luck Friday.
  14. hi, welcome to LBT. lots of suggestions on this board, read away!
  15. best of luck to you Wednesday!!
  16. its a good start. maybe after you lose more, you'll want to do more. also - as you start really losing weight, you'll need to ramp it up more to lose the same amount of weight.
  17. but i really just need to know if this has happened to anyone else. anyone??????
  18. i actually made a special trip to Dr. P cause i was concerned with the uneven swelling. he poked and prodded and said i was fine and that swelling will occur. he did mention that he did more tightening in that area, so that may be it. im sad to say i havent exercised (formally) since the 15th when i walked for an hour. i have however been active (laundry, general house stuff, i cleaned out my closet and packed up all my old clothes)... im not carrying anything but just up and down and stuff.. dr P says it may take several months for the swelling to go away completely so its just something i have to deal with. i had a clothes dilemma yesterday. i was so swollen my new jeans werent fitting and not swollen enough to where my old jeans fit ... nothing to wear. literally .. hope your swelling subsides soon...
  19. im barfing black stuff and i have tubing coming out of my throat. can someone help me please?
  20. last night i got to take a bath and it was heavenly!! only bad thing is that i didnt want to get it too hot due to swelling. it's gone down a bit, but my left side still has that swell buldge that annoys the crap out of me.
