  1. welcome to LBT! congrats on being banded.
  2. thats wonderful!! :cheers2: congrats.
  3. wow, that is wonderful!!! :cheers2:
  4. not sure if that's the best idea. i know many of us on here, our restriction level varies greatly within the month especially that TOM... i'd ask your doctor what they suggest and go by that.
  5. but cc, everyone's doctor is different (well, most anyway). Please go by what YOUR doctor tells you.
  6. "I was just banded x days ago and just ate a non-liquid food..." "oh, you'll be ok" GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!
  7. 7 WEEKS shouldn't be a problem. thats all I'm really going to comment on...
  8. isnt that the best??? congrats and good luck into onederland!
  9. how did it go Wednesday?
  10. best thing to do is call and ask him. unless you are leaving tomorrow ... i think my surgeon said 4 weeks for swimming
  11. ok, so you messed up ... that doesnt mean you can blow the rest of your post op diet. the post op diet is VERY IMPORTANT for the long term health of your band and the anchoring of it on you stomach. please please PLEASE dont think that you felt fine that you can continue with solids.
  12. im not even going to talk about today ... it started with a single french fry and escalated from there ... soooo, i said heck with it and bought a bottle of sparkling wine for DH and I tonight .. :success1:
  13. i always considered anything that made a 'return visit' to be a PB. it's productively bringing something back up. it may include slime, but it's a PB in my eyes
  14. keep solid Protein as high as you can. that will stay in the band longer. try to limit to carbs as they burn quicker and tend to trigger cravings. once you hit your sweet spot, it will get much better.
  15. no change in that aspect whatsoever.
  16. CChick, lap band was one of the best things i've done for myself - ever... (comes a very close 2nd to my plastics)
  17. work? ick.
  18. im posting just to post and say that i agree. LBT is horribly slow today.
  19. ohhh, i love boston market (sorry, not helping matters...) when was your last fill? have you had one yet (sorry memory is shot). it really stinks when you are at the 'in between' stages... banded, but not at your sweet spot. fill up on solid Proteins, that seems to help keep you fuller longer. how many 'meals' are you having (Snacks?) i find even with proper restriction, i have 3 very small meals and 2 tiny snacks. meal would be a Protein shake, snack maybe 14 almonds.. good luck
  20. Hi Jessica welcome to LBT. my suggestion is to browse the forum life at or near goal and search their posts. Life At (or Near) Goal Weight - Lap Band Talk Forum - The largest forum for Lap Band Surgery Discussion and Lap Band Surgery Support best of luck to you. im about 17 months out and love my band. i just had my tummy tuck. my experiences have been documented on my blog.
