  1. the reason i was upright so soon is because of my surgeon's suturing technique (progressive tension sutures). he wanted me upright that first night. the nurses at my surgical center said that he is the only one who does that. some have your back almost parallel to the floor.
  2. welcome to bandland. i heard walking helps the gas (i didnt have gas issues). get up as often as you can and walk. also dont forget to keep yourself hydrated. good luck!!
  3. good luck. congrats on a date!
  4. wheetsin, i agree with Kat (but im high risk miscarriage anyway and any bleeding freaks me out)... i say go in and tell them you want at least an HCG test. good luck
  5. oh, yeah... i had lortab for my plastics and eww... thanks.
  6. wheetsin, how does that liquid Tylenol taste? i have a bottle of it but am chicken to even try it ...
  7. going to totally get flamed for posting this ... but. to be honest, i dont worry about fat and cals. i am lower carbing it and it is what it is ... i still dont go over 1200 cals on a normal day, so ... **shrug** if i work my tail off at the gym, i need those cals.
  8. very true ... we all know how wonderful the BMI charts are ...
  9. i know... i was going to go yesterday for a bit but decided against it... not sure what im going to do today. i need to get back into the swing of things, but i agree, an hour was pushing it. i guess i can only watch 1/2 of the TV show ?????
  10. steph, today sucks... (started yesterday) i feel like i've got the crap beat out of me with a baseball bat... dunno what the deal is, but im "" this close to taking some pain meds (although its a busy day at work, dont think they'd appreciate me being too loopy)... ive been standing 100% straight since day 2 (95% the first day) due to Dr. Pollock's suturing technique. LOVE LOVE LOVE it!! not sure why im so achey... but it sucks.
  11. cinnimon, so glad you had a great experience. tell us more about yourself. :mad2:
  12. yeah, droopy is not a fun thing ... but Dr. P fixed it for me ... :tt2:
  13. yeah, the RTD is really good but quite a bit more expensive...
  14. isnt it amazing? Bodybuilding.com - The Future Of Bodybuilding! Huge Bodybuilding Site. has good prices, VERY fast shipping and excellent customer service... if you work out HARD, you may want to try the regular muscle milk (not light) cause there are more flavors ... beware though, cake batter is SWEEEEEEEEEEEET!
  15. my scar is looking really quite good if i do say so myself ... we took pics and i posted them on my blog. it isnt raised at all and im very pleased. things are ok ... today was probably the worst day i've had in a long time. my incision is very tight and pulling today, not sure if its due to the swelling or what. and we didnt really even do much today, not even the laundry that DH promised he'd do .. :mad2: monumental would be a perfect word to describe it ... i cant imagine being relatively flat on the tummy side and having droopy down under ... ewwww
  16. you look great!! wow ... i still look (and feel) like a tree trunk! hope it was somewhat relaxing ...
  17. im so bloated i feel like a beached whale ...
  18. actually, there is a PS that reads this board - post any question to the Plastics board - put Dr. JLo in the title. i, personally think, that plastics is more than likely needed than not... especially if you lose so much weight. good luck
  19. thanks ... the band really is an awesome tool!!
  20. hi Eugenia, the ext TT goes around my sides and part of my back. on one side he cut 2 vertical incisions as well to ensure i would not have any 'dog ears'. my left side is also a little further back than my right, but the incision is completely covered by a very skimpy thong. i am SO pleased with my surgeon... attached are 2 pics .. i put a black line where my 'front' ends. this is 9 days post op.
  21. most go to Mexico because ins wouldnt cover their banding in the US
  22. i agree with Julie. if you arent happy with your arms, i wouldnt go back for a TT
