  1. i went to DisneyWorld last June (about 310ish) and fit OK. the only issue i had was with Space Mountain, had problem with my really large tummy and the bar closing. good luck
  2. im staying on plan today cause i havent for awhile and i need to get back in the game...
  3. OMG ... LMAO :grouphug: at least you dont PB!
  4. oh Karey, sorry you had to go to the ER. :grouphug: did they have to poke you with a needle several times or did she feel around for it by hand?
  5. well, i go get my stitches removed today at 4. NOT looking forward to that at all. i dunno what all needs to be removed, i was told most are disolvable. i know my belly button stitches are not... **shudder** the thought of them removing them just makes me kinda queasy. :grouphug: my belly button is kinda almond shaped... i think i like it (or will once they take stiches out and get all the gunk out of it... they told me not to bother with it except washing with anti bac soap and water and putting neosporin on it) swelling looks pretty good today despite the fact that i was garment-less last night too. anyone else's temperature fluctuate a lot?? i thought since i lost the belly that i'd be sooooo cold all the time, but its really weird. i get really warm then cool (not really cold), then warm and cool ... driving my DH batty cause i have the fan going at night and he gets frozen and i wake up with 4 layers of sheets/blankets on ... im hoping that Dr. P will clear me for the treadmill today. even if i am going 1.5 MPH, that's better than nothing.
  6. SOOO glad you are back! tom - not worth it.
  7. I have a 4 week 'waiting period' between fills and when I really started getting restricted I saw why.. my band tightness varies thru the month... if I would "demand" another fill during my 'looser' time, get that fill, I would then be WAY too tight and possibly slip my band... not good advice, IMO.
  8. hi Pat, welcome to LBT. tell us more about yourself. when were you banded? how much have you lost... the good stuff!!
  9. well, i love my band!!
  10. oh Karey, so sorry you are having restriction issues now... even though i didnt have anything in my band, i was tight for a few days, so i dont doubt that you could be super tight.. if your PS suggested insisting, i'd insist on seeing your band surgeon. i hope you have a better night tonight. at least you got some drains out. C
  11. i dunno about airborne anymore, there's a huge class action lawsuit out there. the cold eeze is great and take 2 vit C tabs (500mg each)... that helped me before my plastics.
  12. well, i've been banded for 17 months or so and i regularly eat steak, chicken, pork and sometimes i have a bite of my DD's bread. if you take a small bite and CHEW your food, there should not be an issue... but, you should really do as your doctor advises. once again, chew your food properly and this kind of situation is very very very VERY rare... when i say chew i mean til it's pretty much mush/liquid
  13. thanks guys... i got the stupid fill... being completely unfilled she needed 2 syringes full of saline to give me proper restriction ... needless to say that felt awful... it also meant 2 barium swallows .. yippee ... ice cream's a liquid right ... ??? heh... i wish. nope, gunna be good now.
  14. im really surprised your doctor said to stay away from certain foods. that's why i got the band ... (just about) anything ... in moderation.
  15. great news!! congrats. don't know how many fills are covered, sorry.
  16. i, personally, think the girls are quite 'not tall' ...
  17. hey steph.. if insurance is paying for it, i say STAY 3 days!!! i would have loved being there another night, but $500 a night, youch!! i am back 1/2 days ... they are S L O W... which i guess is a good thing... maybe. kinda bored. im really sore today. i slept without my binder last night (wanted to let my stitches and incision 'breathe') so that may be the reason. who knows??
  18. that's wonderful!! congrats. having the excess skin removed makes a huge difference (i just had my TT on the 29th of Feb)
  19. i was about 260 pre-op, now between 238-243 so a 'loss' of 17-22 pounds which is a tad more than they took off (about 18lbs) ... so dunno what the deal is. i dont feel like im losing weight... if i am i shouldnt be due to my poor choices... plus i still have swelling going on... who knows???
  20. hi Sandra, welcome to LBT and great job on the 125 pounds!!!
  21. hi NYCskinny, welcome to LBT. when were you banded? how much did you lose?
  22. hi, glad you are feeling a bit better. i was told for the swelling to just keep drinking and 'flush' it away. not sure if its working yet... i do find the more active i am, the more i swell. i was very active at work yesterday and was really swollen last night. so much so that i had my garment on and i put my binder on top of it. oh damn, 4 days, i would have split in 2...
  23. that is a wonderful NSV!! congratulations!!
  24. hi, welcome to LBT! what is done pre-op depends on the surgeon and every surgeon is different. some people need pre-op diets and visits with a dietician, others dont. good luck!
