  1. congrats and welcome to bandland!
  2. properly restricted, 4 oz is fine for me... i have some veggies as well.
  3. congrats and welcome to bandland!
  4. the only time i'd suggest an unfill before VC is if you are slightly too tight right now. VC and unfills can result in disasterous eating... maybe bring some Protein powder/drinks and say that you arent hungry? ??? good luck and have a great trip
  5. other than when you are on your pre/post op diet, i see no reason not to have Pasta once in awhile. im at a pretty good restriction level and just had a frozen pasta dish (shrimp marinara from WW). it was quite good. now granted, i couldnt eat the entire thing, but that's ok ... :Dancing_wub:
  6. i seriously do not think your doctor is going to yell at you. you need proper restriction for this tool to work. try to schedule a fill asap. once you are properly restricted, it gets easier. best of luck to you
  7. i do NOT push myself. the minute i know i should be done, i'm done. i dunno what it is, maybe a weird nerve twinge or something that i know isnt right, i get off. good luck! :Dancing_wub:
  8. dont forget - not only am i a Moderator, i'm a lap band patient who has been here for quite some time and has witnessed slipped band posts. 99.9% of my posts are not as moderator but as a LBT member. that being said, i STILL think that everyone should follow their doctor's instructions... cause you never know ... for example - i just had plastic surgery (a Tummy Tuck) and my doctor said i could walk straight up on day 1 and i had no drains... other members who had the same procedure couldnt walk straight up for days/weeks and had drains... why? different surgical techniques. so, you never know.
  9. thanks guys... still have quite a ways to go, but pumping up the exercising will help with that... oh that's not going to happen until i call goal. who knows when that will be ... :Dancing_wub:
  10. hi Paisley, welcome to LBT and good luck on your first appointment. keep us posted.
  11. welcome to LBT and best of luck on your surgeries.
  12. hi and welcome to LBT. it is life altering, so it's natural to be scared, but this truly is one of the best things i've done for myself - ever. good luck!
  13. hi, welcome to LBT. i can relate to being sick of it. good luck
  14. i can pretty much eat anything i want (in moderation of course)... in fact, this weekend, i had about 1/2 a brownie and it was DEVINE... pre-band i would have had the entire pan-full. being banded has truly changed my life for the better. good luck on your decision.
  15. welcome to bandland and LBT. congrats on your loss so far. this board has been instrumental in my banded life.
  16. hi Emily, welcome to LBT and congrats on getting your band. how are you feeling now? a bit better?
  17. congrats and welcome to bandland!
  18. hi Melissa and welcome to LBT. i'm glad Georgia pointed you to the PCOS support, there are some great ladies over there! the port isnt very noticable, even some at goal have no issues, but some do. it really depends on where the surgeon puts it and how you are built. personally, i think i'd rather have a slight buldge of the port than my huge tummy ... :Dancing_wub:
  19. hi Noela, welcome to LBT and congrats on being banded!
  20. hi Sue, welcome to LBT and congrats on the 77 pounds. best of luck on the rest!
