  1. thanks Jachut, i tried to email Funnyduddies last night thru this board. i hope it works. i have my 2nd consult Thursday. i want to discuss the panni and the LBL and see what he says. it's funny (not as in haha), but after chatting w/ JulieNYC and reasoning it with DH, i decided to just suck it up, lose the weight and then go for the LBL. well, seeing pics of me this weekend ... seems to get me back in the i want / need a panni NOW ... as in if they could schedule me tomorrow i'd go. some of the before/afters i've found on the web really frighten me though. Abdominoplasty for massive pannus - Panniculectomy the 5th and 6th one down just frighten the hell out of me. i do not want to look like that, even if it is only for a year or so until i get the LBL. :think
  2. Julie - fingers crossed for better than 36!
  3. cnsdubie congrats on the first step - wanting to get back on track. i took some time off (late July thru November) and just did it. that's the best way to start - just do it. follow the bandster rules, dont stuff yourself at your meals, dont drink with meals, etc. you can do this!
  4. i second the precooked chicken from tyson or wherever ... i throw a couple ounces, heat it and then top it with chipotle salsa.. SO tasty!! im actually ok on most days with regular chicken so i just cook up about 10 tenderloins for my week... of course my band is a fickle one so, ya never know...
  5. Updated thru here. If you were not updated, I'm sorry, but PLEASE put it in the following format only. username........123........120........119........1 no words included in the weight line except your username at the beginning. this way i can just copy/paste ... no typos ...

  9. congrats Nume ... cant wait to follow you!
  10. i cant eat anything until at least 11am. you said you cant drink anything either? you may be a tad too tight. maybe .1-.5 cc?? you should be able to drink all the time. although lately, in the early morning, it takes about 1/2 hour for me to get a shake down. good luck
  11. yeah, i know. i almost forgot to post it... sorry. did you guys see this thread? http://www.lapbandtalk.com/f81/2008-challenge-46657/
  12. Couch to 5K - Week of 25 – 01 December Hi everyone, this is our nineth week in the Couch to 5K program. This is designed to be a 9 week program, but you can repeat weeks (as I will be doing) until you are comfortable moving on. However, you are not supposed to skip weeks. It has been strongly suggested by trainers and runners alike to NOT run on consecutive days. More information can be found here: Cool Running :: The Couch-to-5K Running Plan Please go to the cool running site to view your week’s detail. Anyone is free to join, no matter where we are!! This is the place to check in and support with each other and see how it is going. What week are you doing? How is it going for you? Is it too difficult / too easy? Any comments?? Good luck everyone!
  13. ohhhhh ... great thread!!! only cause i am training for the Minnie marathon in May and the Disney full marathon in Jan09, i will do 950 miles on the treadmill (and outdoors) in 2008. 1000 sounds just wayyyyy too many..

I did run this morning. it was awesome. ran different intervals that are too complicated to type again from my iphone. its posted on my blog though. we are on the way to pick up my in laws from the airport ... yay. no, not really..
  20. congrats to everyone being banded and losing 100 pounds Zannie! yay! i went shopping last night. Avenue has some really cute sweaters on sale. picked up the 18/20 and it was too big!! 14/16 fits a tad snug, but it fit so i bought 3! tee heeeeee!!!
  21. hey, there's an idea! crank up the air and avoid fills... that's a great idea ... exactly. i am freeeeeezing right now. my hands are so cold it hurts to type. going to be 80 degrees this weekend in Dallas ... woooo hooooo!! (and 40s on Monday )
  22. tomecia, today's the day! i had Dr. Marsden as well, it was a great experience!! congrats!
  23. i, too, was lucky enough to get a new set of rings when DH got his promotion. my original rings were literally falling off and we went to the jewelry store to see about resizing and came out with new ones ... OMG!! they are size 7 and are now starting to fall off. i dont think i will convince DH to get yet another new set (not that i want one) so i will wait until i get really close to goal (15-20 lbs) and have them resized. in the mean time, i dunno what i am going to do. i was thinking about just getting a plain platinum band that fits to go on top of my set to hold it in place, but not sure yet.
