  1. I have Dr. Voellinger of Southeast Bariatrics. He did mine lap so no open wound. Was in the hsopital two days and felt great after a week. They are in Charlotte and he is very familiar with the lap band. www.southeastbariatrics.com Good luck to You!
  2. There was no idication that my port had flipped. I do not know why this occurs but would like to know. I had to have my port replaced as a result one year after surgery, and now 2.5 years later, it is flipped again. My doc wants me to have outpatient surgery to get it fixed but am looking into seeing if my insurance covers it. Hopefully it does. I have not had ANY type of discomfort due to its flipping. Hope this helps someone. And if anyone knows why this happens, I'd be inetrested in knowing. Thanks! God luck to All!!!
  3. I am amazed at what I learn everytime that I log onto this site. I am so grateful for all the sharing that goes on here. I did not know what PB was but now know that I have experienced it many, many times over and had I known to stop eating after it happened, I would have not been so frustrated with my band situation. This exact frustration has been my biggest complaint and yet I have had no guidance as to how to handle it. THANK YOU GUYS! As far as the taking of the pills, I have never been given guidance on that. I have not heard of the 15 minute rule and I take 4 pills everyday. I do have a time with swallowing them and inevitably one always gets stuck in my esophagus and comes back up later in the day. I switched ot gumy Vitamins so that I could get a multi down faily as the adult vitamins simply were too large to get down well.
  4. Thanks to everyone who posted a tip on here. I was just given this site by my doc. I had been out for over a year before coming back to him. I had lost 80 lbs, and now have gained nearly 50 back. This is the hardest journey for me right now. After my visit with the doc and nutritionist yesterday, I am back on track but it is so hard to believe that I will ever get to my goal weight. After reading many of the tips, I am now going out for a 30 minute walk at lunch. Thank you and much luck to all!
