  1. Congrats!! Way to go:)
  2. I didn't have any problems with that. So how many CC's did they put in?
  3. IMO I think taking pictures every 2 weeks is really important! It's great to compare them all and see the differences. You look awesome!!
  4. I have a few questions guys. How many calories do you eat daily? I've only been eating about 800 a day and I've stopped losing again. Should I up my calories a little to see if that would help? The last diet I did was Weight Watchers about a year ago. I consumed 1200 calories a day and lost 2 pounds a week every week. What kind of meats do you buy? I bought lean ground beef, lean pork, boneless skinless chicken breast, etc but I'm finding those cuts cook up drier and can be hard to get down. Since I'm not able to eat much anyway should I buy fattier cuts so they will be more tender? Also I'm always thirsty and I can still drink a glass of Water pretty fast with no issues but my bariatric coach says I should only sip and not take big drinks. Why is that?? Thanks!!
  5. Congratulations!! I'm right behind you. Just a few more pounds to go:)
  6. I was banded in August. I really had no pain other than the gas pains. I never even opened my Lortab and I didn't get pain meds in the hospital either. It was honestly the best decision of my life:) My self esteem is through the roof now. You will do fine and have awesome results:)
  7. Well I've had only one fill of 1 cc but my surgeon put in 3 cc's when he did the surgery so I had 3 cc's in there all along and didn't know it.
  8. You have to take pics girl! That way you have something to look back at:)
  9. That is a great idea! I'm spending way less also and I'm LOVING it!
  10. Congratulations!!! Can we see some before and after pics??
  11. My FIL told me you just need to push back from the table. Yeah Right. The way I see it we've all worked really hard to get to this point. There's nothing easy about it and there's definitely nothing easy about food struggles. Just ignore them.
  12. Mine is right below my bottom left rib. I can feel it but you can't see it, well not yet anyway.
  13. I eat a cup. That's what my post op diet papers say. I have restriction now so after 1 cup I'm full. Once you get restriction it definitely makes things easier.
  14. They normally wait 4-6 weeks after surgery. Mine was 6 weeks after.
  15. I was lucky enough to get restriction with my very first fill. I know that's not common though. Hang in there, it will happen.
  16. I was also told that your hair will fall out from lack of protein. My doc recommends 65 grams a day to prevent that. So far I haven't had any problems.
  17. I just got this month's issue. It was only $2.49 and it has coupons in it for Fuze drinks, Jillian Michael's Whey protein and the Body Fortress Whey protein powder and Protein shots from Wal Mart. That's enough right there to more than cover the cost of the magazine. Just thought I'd share!
  18. There a supplement. You can get them on the vitamin aisle at Wal Mart or at GNC.
  19. I had a leftover chicken breast with a little whole wheat couscous. This time I ate it with a little gravy and it went down without getting stuck.
  20. LOL! Yesterday I was stuck on a piece of dry chicken breast. I read on these boards months ago how Papaya enzyme can help with stuck episodes. I bought some right then. Yesterday I remembered I had them so I took them and it really did seem to help and they taste good too.
  21. I slept in my bed the first night. I was able to lay on my stomach just fine and my right side. It was almost 5 days before I could get comfy on my left side though.
  22. You sound a lot like me:) I hope to go back next year when my middle child starts PreK. MIL doesn't mind watching the baby b/c he's the only and last grandbaby in the family. Before I became a stay at home mom I did medical billing for a local family practice.
  23. I do occasionally. I've had it since yesterday and it's so bad. It's pain, pressure and bloating and it's around my port. It makes hard to stand up. How do I make it go away?
