  1. Going for my second fill today. SOOOO happy!!
  2. LOL!! I here those stories too and wouldn't you know it's my overweight friends that are telling them. I think they are either scared or jealous or maybe even both.
  3. I was told by my surgeon to do this WHEN I stall. He said it's a great way to get your weight going down again.
  4. Yep I did and even though they left my ovaries my Ob/Gyn did say that they can and usually do shut down for a while after a hysterectomy. I have an appointment for my second fill tomorrow so I'm hoping my family doc can see me after that.
  5. I take several meds daily so I actually put them together in a daily med box, 7 days at a time that way I'm sure I don't miss anything.
  6. Thanks ladies! I will call first thing tomorrow and see if they have an appt open this week. I'm not sure how much longer I can take this:(
  7. LOL! Pulling won't cause anything major but it may hurt to pull on it since it's still attached to the inside of the incision. That's the only reason I said not to pull:)
  8. It's fine. Just leave it alone and don't pull on the thread. It will eventually dissolve on the inside and fall out.
  9. I know there is a mental health board here but it doesn't seem to be very popular so I have a question. I've been very happy on Prozac 40 mg for a year now. I have depression and anxiety. Anyway the last 3 weeks I've been tired, sleeping a lot, irritable, sad and I'm worrying a bit more than normal. I also have little to no patience with my kids. Nothing else has changed in my life. Do you think this is a phase or is time to go back to the doctor now? Thanks for any advice!
  10. I'm having the hardest time with family meals lately! My family likes a lot of casserole/one pan type stuff and that's so easy to make but it's not high in Protein. What are you guys having tonight?
  11. Oh wow! I hope this time things go better for you.
  12. Yay!! Hopefully the scale will keep on moving for you now!
  13. No regrets here either. My pain was very minimal. I only took Advil for it. I really don't feel deprived since my appetite is controlled.
  14. I bought some gas defense at Wal Mart. I got 32 capsules for $7.50. It really works but you have to take it every single day. Digestive Advantage Gas Defense Formula It's just digestive enzymes.
  15. Woo Hoo!! Congrats!! I'm the same as you. I'm in the misses section now but still in XL and loose flowy things fit best.
  16. For me I was hungry all the time. I could lose weight to a certain point but then I got tired of always being hungry. Now I'm doing great. I wish I would have done this sooner.
  17. Well if your done having kids I would talk to your OB/Gyn about it. I've always had horrible cramps but for the past 3 years I have also had my period 2 weeks out of every month. I had a vaginal hysterectomy last month and it was the best thing I've done aside from my band. I feel awesome now!
  18. I'll check it out. I prefer 100% cotton also but man that's so hard to find these days. I have a few pair left from Old Navy that I love but they are 14's and I'm in a 16 right now. I also plan to look at Goodwill this week and see what they have.
  19. I know what you mean! I get my second fill on Tuesday and I absolutely cannot wait. I had good restriction for the first 2 weeks after my first fill but now not so much. My restriction sort of dwindled down.
  20. IDK I asked my bariatric surgeon about it and he said the same thing. He said the band has to be emptied before surgeries or you can have complications from it.
  21. I agree you need to be seen by a doc immediately!! Keep us posted.
  22. I need some new ones both tops and jeans. Where do you ladies shop at? Most of what I find lately are tops that are so thin and sheer they show every little fat roll I have and then jeans that are so stretchy that they fit perfect for the first hour and then after that they are saggy, baggy and falling off of me. Any tips on where to find some good thick shirts and some jeans with little to no stretch in them?
  23. My Ob/Gyn said the same thing last month. I had to have a hysterectomy and he said they couldn't do the anesthesia unless my band was empty, otherwise the tube wouldn't go down my throat.
  24. Thank you Julie. I'm having the same problem. The past 10 days I've really been eating way too much. Sometimes I'm hungry but sometimes I just eat to be eating:( I have to get a handle on that.
  25. I wonder that also. I guess if mine ever slipped I might consider the sleeve instead. I love my band so much but I worry about something happening to it at some point.
