  1. Part of me thinks it maybe something to do with my CPap but then again I'm more tired now than I was 30 pounds ago. I would think my apnea would be better now and I wouldn't be as tired.
  2. I posted last week about how tired I've been. I also have anxiety and depression. I went to my family doc 2 weeks ago b/c my anxiety and depression had gotten worse and I was feeling tired all the time. She changed my Prozac to Cymbalta. I'm still tired but my anxiety and depression is less. I've never had my Iron levels or B12 levels checked. My surgeon doesn't check those at all. I also have sleep apnea and I haven't had it rechecked since 2005. I'm using a CPap machine and I'm using the same settings that I've used since my last sleep test 5 years ago. I'm so flipping tired of being tired and exhausted. I cannot even find the energy to workout. Should I just go back again this week and see if she can do some blood work and maybe another sleep study or give the Cymbalta a little more time? I'm so frustrated right now.
  3. I'm having that issue too but I really have no restriction:( I'm so stressed, overwhelmed and tired lately. Grrr. Can't wait for another fill.
  4. I'm absolutely starving:( I got my first fill in September. It brought me to 4 cc's and I had great restriction for about 2 weeks. Then it faded down to almost nothing. 10 days ago I got my second fill which brought me to 5 cc's and still NOTHING. I'm starving ALL THE TIME and eating everything in site. My next fill isn't until 11/18. Do you think If I called they might do one earlier?
  5. After feeling tired and crummy for a couple of weeks now I'm looking for some new Vitamins to try. I was using Vitafusion gummies but if you read the label they really aren't all that great nutritionally speaking. I bought some One A Day Women's vitamins and they are great but a little hard to swallow. I'm looking for something chewable instead. I know there are several brands. So far I've looked at Bariatric fusion and Bariatric Advantage. Do any of you recommend one brand over another? If so why? Are these really chalky tasting like the kids chewable vitamins?
  6. Okay I think I found my answer in this link. It looks like you CAN take B complex with Synthroid just not Multivitamins. Can thyroid supplements be taken with food, Vitamins, Iron, or other minerals? My Synthroid comes from Caremark mail order and their pharmacists will answer your questions but you have to stay on hold FOREVER and then half the time they are hard to understand. If it weren't for that I'd just ask my pharmacist.
  7. I've been thinking about trying the Muscle Milk Light. I find if I buy premade shakes then I drink 1 every day. If I have to make my own I start lagging on it. I just can't find time to make them. I know it only takes 5 minutes but it's easier and quicker to drink one pre made.
  8. I'm trying to figure out how long I should really wait in between my Synthroid and my Vitamins. I know you aren't supposed to take them at the same time but how many hours apart should they be? I've been taking a Multivitamin and an extra B complex. Can I take the multi at night and the B complex in the am with my Synthroid?
  9. Okay turns out my 2 little ones have Strep Throat. Now I'm running fever also so I'm off to the doc tomorrow morning. There are antibiotics we can swallow right? I mean I won't have to take nasty liquid stuff will I?
  10. I hope so. In the meantime my dd is sick. Yesterday while we were eating lunch she threw up on the table. That definitely helped curb my appetite:(
  11. Mine are red and I was banded in August. I also have several other scars on my stomach from a laparoscopic gallbladder surgery. They are all white now so I figure in time the band scars will be white also.
  12. Personally for me I had to up my calories a bit before I started losing. I had been making my shakes with water but I switched to skim milk and then I started to see a difference in the scale.
  13. I think you should see your surgeon NOW! It's possible he put in a fill at surgery and it's just too much. If that's the case he can remove some of it and you will feel better.
  14. I don't know about refilling it but I do know for sure it must be unfilled any time you have surgery. Good Luck and I hope you have a speedy recovery!
  15. I don't understand this band:( Last month I had 4 cc's and I had GREAT restriction for 2 weeks then it started going away. Last week I had 1 more CC added to bring me to 5 CC's. I have no restriction at all:( I'm starving constantly. Is that normal?
  16. My first fill took me to 4 CC's. It was awesome! I had great restriction for about 2 weeks then my restriction starting going away. Last week I got 1 more cc to bring me to 5 cc's. I'm starving and I can eat anything. I'm not feeling restriction at all:(
  17. What I mean is most meats only go down good with a gravy or a sauce on them and most sauces/gravies aren't low carb at all. What I mean by high protein is 50% of the meal being protein and the rest veggies.
  18. My surgeon highly recommends a low carb diet but I find that low carb meat is just tough and dry and hard to eat. Will I lose the same by counting calories and eating high Protein foods?
  19. This is a great chicken recipe. It never lasts long at my house. It's juicy and full of flavor. http://allrecipes.com//Recipe-Tools/Print/Recipe.aspx?RecipeID=45954&origin=detail&servings=8
  20. I haven't tried it yet but a lot of people here rave about the unflavored powder from Bariatric Eating. I plan on trying it next. The unjury was gross to me. PURE Unflavored Protein Isolate - 21 servings per container - perfect for soup
  21. Mine have to be taken on an empty stomach though. It's not so bad if I space them out a little it just takes longer for me to be able to eat breakfast.
  22. I just had some Friday night with no problems. I just eat a much smaller amount now.
  23. I'm trying to do low carb just to jump start my weight loss but I'm having a hard time finding moist Protein that will actually go down. My band is full enough now that chicken is a definite NO for me. Give me some ideas please:) Are you eating lean protein or fattier protein? I know with Atkins you don't typically count fat grams and fattier meat is easier to chew and swallow so I'm curious.
  24. Gosh NO! I had a hysterectomy last month:) My multivitamin is just a vitamin though. No iron. I'll try adding some iron and B12 and see what happens. It can't be from the Cymbalta b/c I was feeling this tired before I ever started that.
