ate too fast... need help fast >?

thank you so much for the advise. i woke up today and that weird feeling in my stomach went away. I am heading to the doctor NOW to get more optifast b/c I don't want this to happen again.. Not gonna lie though I didn't get to this point by having food self control ya know.. I think its really hard to tell someone who used to eat whatever they want whenever they want that they have to drink liquids for 2 weeks.. i mean come on now!

ate too fast... need help fast >?

So I had my surgery Monday December 21st. I was told by my doctor to not eat anything besides broth water and jello for one week. Last night got the best of me and 2 days early I ate... I immediately felt the food not feel right and had to cough some up. I am extremely disappointed in myself  and I am scrared! I feel absolutley fine now but im feeling a little sharp discomfort where I know the band is. My next Dr. appointment isn't until Wednesday... so I have a few questions.. concerns if anyone can help me with.. 1- Is this like really really bad and should I go to the emergency room?? 2- Should I be honest with my doctor and just tell him what I did? if anyone can give me some advise on this that would be helpful b/c aside from feeling phyisically healthy I am scraed I really messed things up...

  7. The day of my surgery while I was lying there recovering the whole "why did I do this?" question popped in my head. i was on the verge of tears and thinking to myself why couldn't I just do this on my own. Why do I need to go through all this? But I can tell you that after talking with many family members who have had this, that question not only passes but it answers itself when you see how the pounds melt off and when you see how differently you look at food. I was talking to my dad yesterday and he told me that one of the best things mentally that he loves about this is that he no longer is obssesed with eating everything.. He has his cravings eats a small amount and he is satisfied. I think that you need to heal and see the other end of the fence and then ask that question again. You'll say oh yeah because I needed help and here it is... Its not an easy journey but it is well worth it. Good LUck.. heal fast and Happy holidays

    Day 2...

This is definitely something you do not want to rush into. You have to make sure this is the right thing for you. In my opinion the Lapband is a great solution for people who struggle with "keeping weight off" I have lost and gained the same 60lbs 3 times in the past few years and that is so bad for my health. I know what I have to do to lose it but have such a hard time with maintaining it. Both my parents have had this done and they told me that at first they went through the "why did i do this" phase but when you heal and you realize that food does not and CANNOT rule your life it really all becomes very worth it. I would say assess your life and see if this would be the best option for you because the bottom line is, it is surgery. I always say go with your gut! You'll do whats right. : ) Good luck and happy holidays

    Just had to say

That I am feeling amazing right now! I just took a shower and I have been buzzing around my apartment all day today and besides some minor aches and pains I feel so good. I feel so motivated and can't wait to be 100% better. I am shocked at how I feel. I mean for God sakes I has surgery Monday morning. I thought that I was gonna be out like a light for at least a week. That is so not the case. If I can offer any advise for anyone who just got banded I would say don't push yourself, but believe in the power of healing and take that extra step because in the long run you'll recover faster. I remember Monday afternoon after my family came and visited, seeing them put me in a good mood and I actually asked the nurse if I could start walking. Everyone was shocked. Both my parents have had this done and they were like, wow you just broke our records. I mean Im sure a lot has to do with my age, but I also felt this surge of motivation and willingness. It can be so easy to fall into that sleepy feeling and not wanting to do anything and trust me, I felt a lot of that, but then after a while I tried to really work with the nurses to speed my recovery and Im so happy I did that. Ok well im done.. 2 blogs in one day.. I have lots of time on my hands as you can see. : )
