  1. Hi, I was banded in Sept, just recently started feeling restriction, and am once again enjoying everyday life to the fullest, emotionally so far anyway , I know the "physically" part will come in time :tt1: ps...can anyone help me figure out how to set up my ticker?
  2. ...me again, as you can see, I'm having trouble uploading my ticker...can't figure it out:ohmy:
  3. making this for my supper tonight :tt1:...I've been missing my Fri night Pizza!
  4. Thanks for the replies so far...I heard about that problem with alli, but was thinking, "hey, maybe if I was careful & used it for a while, that maybe it could enhance my weight loss"... a jump start of body and mind, especially where it does "force" you to make no fat choices going forward. As for the drinking coffee everyday without problems...I'm so glad to hear that! I'd be happy with just the 1 mug a week, especially where my dietician scared me into thinking that if I drank coffee, my band would erode into my then ulcerated esophagus/stomach! Anyone else drink coffee daily?
  5. Hi, I was wondering...has anyone used additional methods of weight loss in addition to their band?, for example: alli, to cut fat intake, weight watchers for variety of food choice and support, etc. I was thinking that alli could help with some high protein/high fat foods? I just wasn't sure if it could be harmful to use while banded... Also, would 1 cup of caffinated coffee a week be bad? I miss it  Info and advice would be helpful, thx f&s:smile2:
  6. Hi... I needed to reach 9cc's in my Realize-11cc band before I started feeling restriction...I have had a total of 6 fills since six weeks post surgery, which was in September. I asked the PA to withdraw/reinject all of the saline this last time, just to make sure it was truly 9cc's. Before this last fill, I felt "UnRealized"...now, though it's only been over a week, what a difference it is, how good I feel and how little it takes to make me feel comfortably "full". Hope this feeling lasts, Take care
  7. Hi all, I posted a couple weeks ago under a different Thread re: being banded at the end of Sept. and about how I had only lost a bit of weight during my first 3 wks of post surgical recovery with no restriction or loss since mid October... Well, I just had another fill this past Thurs....(this was my 5th or 6th fill to date, never missed my biweekly fills!)...I am now @ 9cc's in my 11cc Realize Band... Guess what?... I am finally feeling restriction!!! It feels soooo good not being hungry all of the time...I hope this feeling lasts...I am definetely eating like 1/2 of what I did prior to my surgery and at least 1/3 less than after my 3wk post surgery recovery. Wish me luck and if anyone has any input about what to expect with my new found restriction i.e.- ways to enhance loss, etc...please share...I am so excited again:thumbup:...yay!

  9. hi okiegirl, I think I have the C size RealizeBand, and 11 ccs is the max fill I believe. I will keep my head up ...I am just soooooooo wanting to start feeling healthier...exercising is so hard for me when I'm unmotivated and not seeing loss has left me super unmotivated
  10. thats a good question about a 'possible leak'...I will contact them to see if they can get me in to see. Good for you having the restriction...down 36 in 3mos?
  11. Hi, I was banded (Realize Band) at the end of September...I have only lost 7lbs to date:-( I have had 4 adjustments , (1-2 cc's at a time), the latest yesterday, and now have 7 cc's in. I cannot wait to start losing, even if it's small amts each week! I too feel no restriction (haven't since my 3rd week post op)...Im kinda sad about that...being 'hungry' stinks...I pretty much look & feel the same as I did pre op too. Is this common? I need some advice and a pep talk.
  12. Hi all, I had my band surgery on Sept 23...I think it was a great decision. I look forward to being healthy again. Since my surgery, I have only lost 7lbs. I have not yet experienced any restriction. My surgeon is still trying to find the right band adjustment so that I can start losing. I didn't know that there was a possibility that I would not experience weight loss for a while, until the 'right adjustment was found'...this is the only con on my list of pros & cons to date. Has anyone else experienced this?...not losing much weight until the right amount of cc's was injected? If so, for how long after surgery for you, and, how many adjustments/cc's did it take for you? I currently have 7 cc's in. and have had 4 adjustments to date. I can't wait to start losing!!! Take care
