  1. 5 months post op

    hi all

so i am doing pretty good...i am 5 months out and about 46ish pounds lost which is amazing...i am however hitting a wall its seems...i'm not really loosing as much as i would like. i am going for an adjustment...my 3rd.... i was also looking for good food advice... i feel like i'm doing something wrong... i eat pretty good but on occasion i eat something i shouldn't...i have controlled myself with that for the most part... sometimes i feel however that once i cheat its like i instantly gain a pound or two and that my exercise is not doing anything! i dunno i think most of it is psychological but who knows...anyone have any advice?
  2. Ugh...food!

so i was filled on 12/2....i'm assuming whatever swelling i had from the fill is gone so now i'm able to eat a tad more than before...still not enough but thats another blog! anywho so i'm still struggling with the whole wanting to eat all the time... i've been working hard at not letting it control me.. i'm up to 34 pounds lost which is really exciting...i'm at the point where people can def. tell and i have had people who are oblivous to things come up and say how good i look. it def. is a nice positive ego boost... so far it has kept me going...my blood pressure is def. way lower...i'm hoping next doctors appointment i can get it lowered..i think its too low on the dose i'm on now... my biggest fear is this coming week. Sunday is my birthday and i know some of my family want to take me out...i also have a christmas party saturday, next thursday and next sunday so i guess they are going to be my first big test. Hopefully i do well with it and there is no problems... all i can do is think positive thoughts. :tongue2:
  3. breaking the habit

i was wondering how has everyone who has been banded for a while coped with breaking old habits...i had a little break down moment last night...i got my first fill on the 2nd and obviously i'm eating a significant amount less and sometimes i get frustrated b/c i can't eat more and its not that i'm hungry its just the act of eating more i guess which always comforted me...anyone have any suggestions on how i can prepare myself to deal with these frustrations....
  4. feeling full....

i just got my first fill yesterday...and i have noticed that i don't really have any appetite, but i have been monitoring how long it has been inbetween meals. When i do eat obviously i can't eat that much. but when i get the signal i am full i get horrible pains in my shoulder almost like if there was a gas pocket there.. is there any other way besides having the pain to figure out i'm full. When he filled me he filled me with 7.5 CC's i dunno if anyone knows a specific amount i should eat...i really would like to not feel the pain if its not neccessary!
    Thanks
    Courtney
