  1. first of all slimming you got to make a decesion to have this surgery for you and only you.. You have to educate yourself on all the surgeries. There are a lot of things to know about the different kinds of surgeries. When you finally decided to make that leap into the unknown you will be surprized in how much a wonderful decesion you have made. Not just for your health but for your self esteem. I will tell you that this was the best thing that I ever done for myself and I would do it 1000 times over. You have to educate your self know everything about your surgery (know everything about every other surgery also) It took me around three months to make my decesion and I havent' looked back since. I wish you all the luck in the world you will do fine with what ever decesion you make...
  2. Girly your going to be on soo many good drugs You wont even remember your. name..lol. I don't think I even remember tubes at all...lol The first day I had surgery I remember getting up later that day and walking around the nurses station about 5 times. You will be restless and you will want to get up and get moving(that was my case) I just couldn't stand being in bed all day. The good thing is that you will have a pain pump for the times you can't go to sleep. YOu just hit that magic button and off to neverland you will go..I guess enough trying to be funny. The more you walk and the more you sip the faster your going to heal. I think you will be alright..Keep us posted
  3. lisa are you gettingb in all of your Protein? you have to get your all your nutrition in..60 oz of Water and 60+ grams of protein..maybe why you are stalling.. I know your on the go all the time but are you eating too many carbs??
  4. Yep the worst is over and every day it will get better and better. just remember sip and walk sip and walk. good luck
  5. Congrats your now belong to the losers club Wellcome!!!

  7. Well first of all it is really important to stay hydrated. Second when you get all your hydration in you have to start getting protein in around 60 grams or so. Everyone is different and loses at different rates. You maybe are losing weight slow and you will take off soon. Make sure you are not getting too many carbs in..As sleevers carbs are really our enemies and it is the best way for us not to lose weight. The biggest thing don't accept failure so soon you have to have faith in what you are doing. If you are getting too many carbs try to stay aroun 50-75 and the weight will fall..good luck
  8. Well first of all you need to stay away from potatoes..They are white carbs.. You cant stay away from all carbs you just have to get the right ones and control how much of them you get..complex carbs stay with you longer they are more healthy. Your doctor should have gave you a list of carbs to stay away from.. I do believe that if you cut down on your carbs more you will start flying the weight back off. I am staying around 50-75 carbs a day. So right now until I start eating more carbs I will be in keytosis. a constant state of burning fat.. I dont' know if this helps just my thoughts
  9. This makes me feel so hopeful and excited... Your doing soo wonderful..nothing better than feeling good about yourself..
  10. well I am a rum and coke man myself. I don't think I will be able to drink that at all because It has to be regular coke for me.. Thin I just don't know how you do the rum and diet coke thing..I just don't think I would ever be able to do it.. So I guess I will stick with my wine when the times comes...
  11. Well good for you...That is awesome to hear..you don't have very far to go now..good luck..
  12. Yeah I agree with foxbins it too early to give up now.. You have to get your protein in. Don't get in the habit of eating too many carbs. If you do eat carbs go with the complex one's they tend to stay with you longer. Your body inside is changing and you have to give it time..
  13. Have yall ever tried the Fresco line at taco bell. It is suppose to be a whole lot better than the regular tacos..I know yall didn't want to hear eat the healthy ones. But it would definetly cut down on your calories
  14. well I here to tell you once you have surgery you will have no problems with sipping slowly and if you take a big drink it is like take a knife and stabbing you in the stomach.. I used to be the king of drinking a 20 coke or water in about 5 minutes. Now It takes me a while about 30 minutes but I am only 23 days post surgery. you will have no problem with sipping I promise you ..
  15. Had my Bariiatric nurse come in and told me to but the glass in my mouth and drink while the water was still around my mouth. She said it helps eliminate the swallowing of air. I tried it it seemed to hellp me out a little. I think it is just one of those things that past. I really didn't like the swallowing of air either. But congrads to you you are offically on the losing bench..Welcome
  16. Have you tried salmon..It is also a really good fish to eat any way you cook it.. I'm like you I truly have loved cod as you do. so I have options other than chicken.
  17. I was eating soup broth, water, sugar free popsicles, protein shakes, vitamin water(zerocarb) and 0 calorie sobie life water.. I really like the vitamen water and sobe they have lots of extra vitamins and nutrients
  18. I would say that body sculpting and areobic classes weight lifting would do wonders for saggin skin.. I have lost 46 pounds since surgery and I have been walking a lot and lifting weights in my problem areas to help with the skin issue. I don't know how much it will work but I am trying really hard.
  19. Well I am just the kind of person that would corner your mother in law and demand her not to tell anyone. I would tell her that I would prefer to keep it in the immedate family..I don't blame you for being mad I would be ferious. Your husband should have not said anything. Now it is going to be awkward every time your around them.. I know some people should be told about having surgery but they always have negative opinions.. They cant just support you they have to tell you why you shouldn't have the surgery. That you can do it on your own. I completely understand and I too would be very upset with what he did..
  20. give me a food processor and I'm good.. any way you wonder why all those baby spits that nasty crap out...lol
  21. sometimes I wish i could stop eating..it does get soo tiring to get the little bit you have to eat down..Sometimes I have to stay up late to get my protein because I forget to eat what I need..
  22. I think me and you going to boycott calicum..It really sucks and the chewable vitamins suck too..
  23. just to let you middle tn sleeve know that the rn from Dr. Spaw contacted me by email and said that the 15th of March they will be discussing a vertical sleeve support group . She told me that the sleeve is becoming more popular so they are trying to put together a sleeve support group. I Think that this would be so good for us.. I will be attending the March 15 meeting and hopefully we will have a sleeve support group starting the month of april..
