  1. I too have a protein shake as a snack, unless I have one to replace my breakfast--never been much of a breakfast eater. My NUT allows snacks, but usually those snacks with protein. Does not encouraging snacking on anything else!
  2. Only two pounds from Easter goal. I hope to exceed, but I take 10 in five weeks!
  3. I use wheat or corn as well, but I can get down flour okay if I chew--I like baking them to make chips--easier to get down as they are not as doughy.
  4. Thank you--what an inspiration to us all. Congrats on your success and taking your life back!
  5. Same here. Just had my first fill today. My port is deep and awkward and he thought we may have to do if under a fluroscope, but he was able to access without it.
  6. For me it's pain in the chest area
  7. I got my shake container from Wal-mart right over their with the protein mix that has the number ounces listed. Usually I make it for the entire day
  8. Mine moment was after the death of my father. He was not obese, but he did not take care of himself--died of three aneurysms. My mother is the same--obese with sleep apnea, congestive heart failure, medicine induced diabetes, arthritis, and osteoporosis (has a degenerative disc in her back--great pain). After being put on BP meds and my doc saying I was pre-diabetic, that confirmed it for me because I was heading in that direction.
  9. same here--I have lost about 18 since surgery--but my clothes are fitting differently. Unfortunately could not find the tape measure to get my measurements pre-op, so I have no way of gauging how many inches
  10. Potassium or get your Vitamin D level checked
  11. I guess doctors are different--mine once i got to solid food, it moved up to 6-8oz
  12. Same thing happened to me--but because I am scheduled to go out of town so much this month I rescheduled--so I kept the original apointment that made me wait three weeks or I would have had it last week--so 2 mths post-op Sunday, and no fill yet until 3/22.
  13. I do, but lately I have being doing the veggie burger made by morning star, so if I do get to a point that I cannot eat beef hamburgers, it is a nice, moist substitute
  14. I use dailyplate as well. If you are a paper person, A Dr. Kroll I think makes a journal I bought from Amazon designed specifically for Lapband patients "The Gastric Lapband Companion"--I keep it just to track fills, because unlike the daily plate that foods come up when you type them in, this journal is manual so you would have to get the calories, fat, protein etc from somewhere else, then record. It was just easier to do it online!
  15. The same thing happened to me--was six weeks out on 2/25--finally could get a fill--did not happen--go back to do it under a floroscope on Mar 22nd--I did get an earlier appointment, but have to go out of town twice before then, so I did not want to have the fill and problems while being out of town! Despite that, I am surprised at my will-power--I eat a max of 1200 calories even though I have no fill yet and no restriction and I have lost--very slowly and more inches than pounds, but I'll take it:smile2:
  16. Same here--sunrise orange and fruit punch are staples, especially with my protein shots.
  17. Try adding vanilla or unflavored protein to yogurt or pudding and to water--also protein shots in water.
  18. Ditto--I like Light miracle whip, but with the little amount I use, I do regular mayo, butter, etc if it is around.
  19. I lost 30lbs from intial consultation and pre-op diet, then 20lbs on the pre-op diet and 19lbs before fill (filled delayed to 8wks post-op--lost no weight on weeks 3 and 4 either

I use a series called The firm "Transfirmation"--they guarantee results after 10 workouts--before the band I started using--without even watching as hard as I do now what I ate, after 10 workouts, I had dropped six pounds. :thumbup:The website is firmdirect.com. It came with four tapes and a set of weights. I agree with another poster on Taebo--like those tapes too.
  21. I had a hard time getting in all my Protein and veggies. Someone suggested up here the Morning Star veggie line. I have been eating their burgers, chicken, and ribs--really tender and moist and like real meat--you get veggies and protein in--a burger last night was 17--topped with cheese added more--toasted that new wheat flat bread by arnold--very thin has 4 grams of protein--sometimes add little chilli to get more protein. I also make one of my Snacks a shake or sometimes my breakfast--never been a big Breakfast eater, so a shake sometimes does the trick. I put unflavored protein or vanilla protein mix in puddings, yogurt, and oatmeal to give them more protein. I now most days hit 80 and sometimes more. Hope this helps?
  22. B-Oh Yeah protein drink L-baked chicken thigh and tossed salad with a few pieces of chicken on the salad s-protein bar and banana D-Morning star veggie burger, Arnold whole-wheat fat roll, fat-free cheese, tablespoon of leftover chilli
