  1. Aren't you on clear liquids? Don't know much about most protein powders, but most are not considered clear liquids. Slow down unless your surgeon authorized it!
  2. You probably drank too much too quickly! You appear to be a newly banded person and so therefore must slow down on your drinking besides your eating. Maybe your bottle of water was too much for one "meal"! How many ounces in your bottle? Even water, taken too much, will take a while to go down. Good luck, Karen
  3. Thank you all For your positive outlooks. Love this thread! Amen to everything!
  4. Congrats on reaching goal!
  5. I was lazy, I made folks drive me for about 2 weeks.
  6. You should be fine! You are healing and it will hurt a little. Your stitch area will probably be a little sore for awhile, maybe even months. The \n, the skin ,might itch. If there is no pussing or extreme redness, it probably is okay. Karen
  7. Could not have said it better. But make sure that you get up and walk as much as you can. Don't stay on your back in bed. The more you walk, the quicker the gas will retreat. If you need to take something, try gas-x tabs that melt in your mouth. Bets wishes, Karen
  8. Liquid in, liquid out! When in doubt, check it out! If you still have a problem in the morning and want medical advice call your surgeon's office! I hoe that didn't come out mean! didn't mean to. Karen
  9. I lost very little the 1st month until after my fill. 2 lbs a week is a on schedule per my surgeon.
  10. ((((hugs)))). Best wishes, talk to your psych consular for advice on how to deal with your anxiety! Best wishes. Karen
  11. I gave up smoking many years ago, so not really able to give advice. But as Mis73 said, probably head hunger!
  12. I agree with 4sweeties, try a smaller size. You might be surprised and feel good about your losses!
  13. Congrats to be in the 100's club!
  14. Too old for to be interested, just wanted to congratulate you on your losses!
  15. I used to crush, but now am free of med. I take vitamins and make sure they are small or I open one that is capsule
  16. I heard that a lot when I 1st lost my weight! Unfortunately, it was after losing a friend to the big "C"!!
  17. I am sorry that you had this experience. yes, very important. My surgeon is on 24 hr call, which I found out when I had your experience, too!
  18. Carolinagirl, you are too good! I am like others, I also, weigh a couple times a day!
  19. I have been stuck on fries. They are probably a no-no for you. Don't eat in the car, that is a bad one to do! My last pb was sitting in the car, rushing to help my daughter pick up her kids from school. We stopped for a snack!
  20. Excellent! Lots of great reasons!
  21. Me too, we have a restaurant here that gives a $25.00 meal away for birthdays. So, we would save the place for free steak for our birthday. Since 4 out of 5 adults now have lapbands, it is s pleasure of the past!
  22. No, don't and never have craved bread and butter since surgery 3 1/2 years ago. I used to eat it with meals of stew and the like tho'. Karen
  23. i drink regular coffee all the time. I hate decafe and tea doesn't do it for me. I don't seem to have a problem with it, and some studies say it is beneficial. ( I need it for the bathroom activities int eh AM)!!Congrats to you valedictorian son. Obviously a "chip of the old block"!! Karen
